He was stuck so they did an emergency c-section, was really stuck so it took a bit of work to get him into this world.
They are still in the hospital.....maybe Friday they can leave.Mother and baby are doing well. She and the baby will stay with me for a bit then go home.Dad is a bit tuckered out but doing fine. A very proud daddy and Jarek knows when daddy is in the room!
Jarek's hair has blond tones to it and looks auburn sometimes and light brown and very blond other times.....depends on the light. Allyson and I are sure we saw freckles coming in!!!!!!!!! She is so excited......a great mom.
I am worn out but estatic!

I am sure he will bring so much joy to you!!!!!They did a good job on the pics ...he has bruising still on his nose and upper lip. The scratches are also not visible on the pictures, it was a rough time for him but the swelling has reduced tremendously.
So darling! His fingers and toes are quite long and will grab your finger with his toes....lol
HE is already turning his head and holding his head up to look at mom and dad. Loves his story time too.
What a handsome little guy. Everyone must be so proud and happy. LindyJode, what a beautiful little angel! And, it looks like he is smiling at his Grandma?

Thankyou all so much! I am just delighted and still a bit shaky from her being in labor (12 hours) and all the stuff that goes with it. She was in so much pain, geesh that was difficult to get through as "the mom/grandma". But all is calmed and doing well.
I will have to say, the ride to the hospital was less than pleasant. SHe was at my house cause her pains were so bad and she wanted to soak but as labor progressed I just told her to call her midwife and go in. They sent her to the hospital right away because she had gotten to 4cm. HEr water never broke till right before they took her for a c-section, her contractions were not consistant and the effacing had gotten thicker. It was a rollercoaster ride emotionally for certain!
All are ok now though. Little fella got circumsized this morning and is sleeping. I took my daughter the music she heard each night when I would put her to bed when she was a baby and little girl so she could have it for Jarek.....he is used to it
cause she played it for him through the last trimester.

I think he looks naughty (as all little ones do)! He'll be drawing on the walls, sneaking cookies, streaking through the house (in front of company) and generally causing total mayhem in no time!!! Enjoy!
lol, thanks again...yep you said it right, he is already causing a bit of mayhem......he has his mother's disposition, cranky and a tad bit demanding! lol.
A couple of the pics he looks lke such a sweet little angel, and he is no doubt, but when he wants his mom or dad or to eat, he let's you know quite distinctly!
HE goes right to sleep as long as you hold him......he loves the music and just listens and moves his eyes and tongue. HE has been so overwhelmed with so much company that tonight she is just cuddling him by herself, said she has had no time with him by herself so I have stepped out for a couple hours. I told her if she needs me I am right there for her, and if she needs some time to herself just let me know and i am on my way. SHe is so good at letting me know and telling me what she wants and I respect it. That's my girl!
When she comes to stay at my house for a day or however long, I told her she can have all the privacy she wants and just to let me know when she wants some help or something to eat. I am here for her, love them all to pieces, but it is their baby and their rules stand.
I have had some holding time but always let her decide when she wants him and when to place him in the little bed. Man oh man it is tough placing him in there but I promised to do as she wishes.
I am thinking he is gonna be one of those that puts worms and rocks in his pockets, and probably like his mom, he will want you to keep all the rocks for years and years!
It is a joy. It is the good kind of exhaustion!

My son was born via c-section, after I was in labor with him for 18 hours! He had his leg wrapped around his imbilical cord and could not desend any more.

Thankyou all so much. He is such a good baby and such a joy. He is up to 8lbs. now, lost down to 7lbs.5 ounces from 7 lbs. 15 ouces at birth..
My daughter introduced the bottle to him with her milk and he gulps it down!
He now takes both and is doing well. HE has a clogged tear duct so she messages beside his nose 4 times a day in hopes this will help the problem. Other than that, she is glued to him and him to her.
She will remain with me for awhile. She is still in quite a bit of pain and will over due it then sleeps. It is such a wonderful feeling to watch your daughter become a mother and to be so nurturing and caring and absolutely love her child.
Dan comes over when he gets off work, he works third shift. He has Tues. and Wed. off so she is over there where they live with the baby for at least one night. She misses Dan but she sees him nearly the same amount as if she was there and it is difficult for her to get around still, the c-section was a really rough one but the good thing is she is healing well.....just in pain and overly exhausted.
All pics are still captive in cameras, we are working on that! THis is the first time I have had to even do email.

It is truly as wonderful as everyone states without a doubt...to watch your child become a parent....is phenominal......just being with themand watching this new beginning with your child, is unforgetable and fills your heart and soul with joy.
I will try to get pics up soon. Jarek is growing and filling out and is very alert. He is LONG! lol and smiling now.
