The smoke has been so bad for the last two days, its hard to breath.  I have a head ache and runny nose.  Trying to stay in as much as I can.  Its been burning as close as 18 miles 3 weeks ago to about 32 miles from us right now.   We are safe,  as long as we don't have to breath.   I should shut up and thank the good Lord that I still have a home.  We are close to the Concow/Paradise fires.  over 100  homes loss in last few weeks.  I have seen Ca. burn before, just not this early or as many at one time.  them it had to get HOT. It is  cooler today, 109.

have a great day
rusty
Hi Rusty, I couldn't be in California now, not if I wanted to stay alive!!!!  We have some of the smoke from Calif. here in Wash. state.  It's been hazy for weeks.  I can't complain because I know it could be thousands of times worse.  About all you can do is stay inside.  It must be absolutely horrible and I can't imagine how difficult it is for people with prior respritory problems.  Take care and keep safe.  LindyOh Rusty, that's awful.  Adding high heat to the problem must make it unbearable.  Try to keep you mind off it by writing to us so we can keep you company.  Hugs. Hi lindy and jesse,  thanks for posting....sometimes I just need to vent when things are going bad...its so gray  right now, its 8 pm and its still 100 out there.  I watch the news at 6 and they are trying to keep the fire from Paradise, that town lost 40 or so homes about 3 weeks ago now its going to hit them from the other side of town.  I have never seen it this bad.  People are living in tents in oroville in 100+ weather, like I said thank God I still have a home.  I love the hills and mountians, but there is no way I would live up there in Ca.
have a good night take care
Sorry to hear it rusty! My brother just flew back to cali the other day.

Hope it gets better for you soon.

My older brother is still out fighting the fires and hasn't been home in almost two months... imagine how hot it is fighting the fires wearing all that gear with the temps over 100 degrees and however hot the actual flames are, ugh. I couldn't do it and say special prayers for the ones who do.

Lindy, you live in WA state? so do I
From the title of the thread I thought perhaps you found Gimpy's stash.
