memory foam mattress topper | Arthritis Information

I forgot who wanted to buy one off the web! www.overstock.com has them in various thickness from 1 to 4 inches from to 0.

Hope this ok to post

Does anyone have the actual mattress? I'm wondering do they hold up in the long term. I think I want one so bad...but my Mother said she's afraid to buy one because she thinks they will lose their shape pretty quickly. It makes since because I have to keep turing my cover because it doesn't seem to "bounce back" quite as good as it did at first.

My Aunt spent more than 2 grand on one. It was comfortable but not fab. She only slept on it 2 years so it was still good.

I have a sleep number air bed with a 2-3 inch memory foam topper I like better. My partner and I can each do our own thing, plus when the foam topper wears out or gets dirty I'll just get a new one. Keeps the sleep number bed perfectly clean. I just love the comfort of it - great for hips and shoulders. I can change the hardness during the night, which allows me to go back to sleep after pain wakes me up.

I finally have something that works for me.

We bought it in April and still are delighted with it. We got ours from a company nearby that manufactures their own mattresses, so paid 0 for a queen mattress and foundation.

It is the best money I've ever spent. I will NEVER use another kind of mattress. My hips hurt so bad when I sleep, but they are so much better now.

Mark loves it too. He says he wishes we had done it years ago. I can't say enough good things about it.

Marian; that sleep number bed is what my parents are considering buying. I've heard great things about it too.

Thanks Kathy. That's good news. My husbands seem one for a little less than that too and we're considering it. It's good to hear some good reviews.

We have one that is about 2 inches thick...bought it last Christmas when we bought our Sleep Number bed. So far so good with the mattress, it always fluffs back up. and I  LOVE the Sleep Number bed :yay: *where's the dancing banana* lol

Lovie,

Lots of levels of cost on sleep number beds. Great 30 day trial- if you don't like it you can send it back.

Consumer reports mag did an article on mattresses

I don't think the top of line is worth the money.

We didin't think it was worth that either Marian. I think we got the the  3rd one down from the top of the line. Then just added our own Memory Foam.

I'll have to look into that.

So Mags you have the Sleep Number with the memory foam on top...you too Marian? You think this is a better option than the memory foam mattress?

We are for sure in the market for a new mattress. We're sleeping on the one my husband shared with his first wife. A; it's not a very good mattress...and B; it grosses me out to think about it!! (I really can't stand the woman)

We really haven't invested in any furniture since we got married because we had so much combind stuff....but this is a must do!!

And since sleep is always such a problem for me I really want to make a good choice here.

Thanks for the tips guys.

Lovie, we bought the  5000...here's the link:

Then we went to Sam's Club and bought Memory Foam to go on top of that for about 0. . It's very comfy!

Hubby and I can't again on two things - how soft the bed should be and where to set the thermostat.

The sleep number bed takes care of one! Any solution for the temp!?!
