Red toes | Arthritis Information

So I get home from work today, and look down at my feet... and all my toes are red.  They're kind of throbbing too, but there's really no pain to speak of.  I've been under the weather for the past couple days, with a mild fever and general malaise.  If this is the beginning of a flare, I'm gonna be pissed.

Anyone experience this before?

PS my hands are normal - no redness, no swelling

That hasn't happened to me Jas but I sure hope it's nothing big.
That hasn't happened to me Jas but I sure hope it's nothing big.
I decided to take some naproxen and just take it easy tonight... grrrr I hate this crap.  I was supposed to go "out on the town" with a bunch of people, but I can't even stomach the thought of a beer right now and if my feet are about to act up I don't want to give them any encouragement!
Mine have been doing that lately after I get home from work and stand for a while after dinner doing the dishes or housework for a while. They almost get this buring sensation and feel tight but no noticable swelling. I've notived that if I get off my feet and get my legs up it helps. Not sure what it is exactly.

Jas passing on a Sam Adams??????  This IS serious! Hope you feel better soon.

I have the second ingrown toenail I've had in the past month- never ever had one in all my life before! Very painful! I'm supposed to have reflexology of my feet and hands tomorrow and now I'm afraid it's going to hurt.
Jas, I completely understand the throbbing.  I've never had a red joint but I do have the toes throbs.  Hopefully, this isn't a flare.  About all you can do is what you're doing....taking it easy.  LindyMy toes have been red and throbbing before. Alot. Like someone said....when I am on my feet alot, I get it. I take it easy and rest in the recliner and it goes away.
I hope you feel better tomorrow and can enjoy your Sam Adams soon.
How are you today? Is Sam coming over?I've had it happen quite a few times- it seems like my feet/toes flare up more often than hands.  Toes get red and the joints throb - some spasms as well.   Hope your toes are feeling better today.  Well, after an evening of taking it easy (except for hauling laundry up and down the stairs), my toes are no longer red and throbbing.

And yes, hopefully I will hook up with Mr. Adams this evening! Jas, I had that on my left foot.  It's where my toe migrated right.  It never signaled a flare, just the disease.

I'm betting this isn't helping tho.  Sorry.

Pip who one day will learn the difference between 'right' and 'left'.  Sigh.
I still have trouble with right vs left too! OMG, I'm so bad!  My husband does the exact opposite of whatever direction I said.  He finds it hilarious that I taught the baby that at 3 when I can't do it myself!  (hold up your hands, thumbs out, and see which makes an L - ok, that's left - lol)
OMG, I'm so bad!  My husband does the exact opposite of whatever direction I said.  He finds it hilarious that I taught the baby that at 3 when I can't do it myself!  (hold up your hands, thumbs out, and see which makes an L - ok, that's left - lol)
I learned that in Kindergarten and still have to use it to this day!!!!!
Well, I did NOT get to go out with Sam last night.  As the day progressed, I felt worse.  Headache, mild fever, upset stomach, runny nose, fatigue; I spent most of the day lounging around.  I'm gonna do the same today.
stop your pain!
