Pain spreading to new joints | Arthritis Information

Hi everyone,

It has been a long time since I posted and I see a lot of new people are here. Welcome! Sorry I missed so much.
Usually I feel better in the summer, but this year my joint pain is worse and spreading to more joints, even though I feel less tired and better overall. Does that make any sense? My hips and shoulders and now painful every day in addition to all the other joints. Fortunately the pain has been moderate, not to the point where I can't get out of bed, and I have a high tolerance for pain. Just wondering if it means my meds are not working well enough.

Laker, it has been a long time.  When's your next rheumatology visit?  I would take this up with them, they control the meds.  Take care ~~ Cathy

When i first was put on high doses of prednisone, only my knees and hip and finger were effected.  They lowered my pred and my elbow and wrist hurt, when they lowered it again, my toe and shoulder were affected.

It seems that when they lower my medication, something else pops out.  I am not sure how things are supposed to go, but i hate having more spots.
It sounds like it might be time for a "cocktail" modification. I have had a few over the last couple of years. Glad your back for a little visit. Hi Laker, am glad to see you posting and yes, it sounds as if your meds need adjustment.  Take care. Lindy
