RA or FM more trouble? | Arthritis Information

Me again posting questions!

Curious as to those with both RA or OA and FM, which one causes more pain or trouble? I've had FM since 2002 with major flares off and on. Last flare started in 2006 or so and wouldn't let up till I began Lyrica in Sept 07. I finally got relief, but what joint pain I had been experiencing greatly increased and grew till it's unbearable now. I'm undiagnosed, going thru my 3rd rheumy now. All I've been told is suspicious inflammatory arthritis.

All my joints, but primarily the tendonitis in heel/achilles....then my left foot, my toes, fingers, hands hurt horribly, the palm and knuckles of my hands, my knees, elbows, neck and back.

The only muscle pain stiffness I have now is my upper back and I feel like it is connected to my spine and not my FM.

I feel quite a bit the same as you do. I started Lyrica about 4 weeks ago and it makes me so tired. I hope that passes. I have seen an improvement though. I think if your doc could find the right combo of meds for you you might start feeling better. I think my Fibro causes me more pain now that Ra but it kinda flips back and forth. Hang in there
