Arthritis Information -Hello from Canada

 

Just wanted to welcome you to the board - I joined today myself, but have been on another board for about 1.5 years - was diagnosed in 4/07. Hope you have a pain-free day!

Hi there. I just registered this evening. I've been diagnosed with RA for 3 years. Looking forward to sharing with others who know what I'm living with and hopefully I can contribute as well!  Hi Anaudlife and Brenna...welcome!! I just joined today am from

Ontario, Canada . I have RA since 1987, just started Embrel last September, it is working very well for me. I had knee replacement surgery in January which also is going great except for swollen ankles.I'm in Northern Ontario. It's awesome to have newbies too. I kind of feel like a interloper or something especially when I see how long some people have been on or how many posts they've made!!
I'm trying to gather as much information as possible because I really don't know too many people where I live who also have RA.
Maryrose- What kinds of things have you found to help with flare-ups and keeping RA in check. I'm on a lot of blood-thinners and so I'm only able to take a very limited amount of medications. Has diet and exercise helped?
I've had RA for 3 years now, have been on Plaquenil and MTX, off both. I've found that keeping track of eating right and daily exercise has helped tremendously.
Did you have both knees replaced?

Brenna- nice to have someone the same age too!
