I think I am having one, I am extremely stress and anxious about a multitude of things. I go to the Rheumatologist for the first time tomorrow, and that has me scared too.  I don't really know what to say.  I guess just show up for the RD appointment tomorrow and see how it goes.  Take one thing at a time.

Good luck.

I was scared when first found out I had RA. I was scared the first time I went to the RD too. I will go back again tomorrow for the results of the x-rays and to see what DMARD meds I will take. I am scared. I just try as best I can to relax when I get stressed out and worried. Mediatate, pray, listen to music, read the Bible.
These are things that have worked for me. Sending positive thoughts your way.Jennmommi, this is a scary new phase of your life, it's understandable that you'd be stressed, but just remember that the RD appointment is a good thing.  It's going to get you back to functioning the way you should.  Not getting an appointment would be much scarier.  You're on your way to getting the help you need.  I'm glad about  that.  Please let us know what happens.

That goes for you too, mom2.  Let us know how you make out.
i think it's perfectly understandable to be anxious and nervous when you are starting on this journey.  I know I was a wreck for years before I got diagnosed.  Do relaxation exercises.and breathing excercises.  Take a deep breath while pulling your shoulders up towards your ears, hold the breath for the count of 5, exhale slowly while dropping shoulders and relaxing.  This really helps with anxiety!  Good luck at the doctors appt.

being anxious is very normal.    The unknown is almost always fearful...

but remember that your RD is going to try to help you with this battle.. and as many say here, when you have questions, ask.. and read read read... there's so much to know...

keeping a log of your days and the happenings, the pain, the stiffness, etc. will be helpful too.

I wish you good luck at the RD's.. keep us posted!

Try to do some deep breathing. Hope your RD visit goes well and puts your mind at ease.

Jenn, I think that you have way too much going on.  I am overwhelmed just reading it! Full time job, part time college student and 3 children?  Yikes girl, no wonder you are nervous!  I hope that you have some help with all of this.  And now RA?  OMG.....
I would like to say just pace yourself, but with your overflowing plate that might hard to do.
Sending hugs and prayers your way Jenn.

Jenmommy,

You will be just fine Jenmommy, breath in real deep and breath out real slow and long, continue until you realize that you are and will be okay.

Doctor LEV

Hugs and let us know how it goes!
