Good bye Mr. Simple | Arthritis Information

You have been very persistent in promoting your "treatment" but all salesmen generally are.  You've been here for a few days now, given us your spiel about how you want to help us, you've made available your website, and have had several exchanges with folks here.  But I think its time for you to go.

You have been all over the forum, jumping into many threads, no matter the subject, but you crossed the line when you jumped into Joonies.  She's had a really hard time today, but you saw it as an opportunity to push your program.  You wrote:

"I would hate to see you have to take such a toxic drug.  It will only work for so long, the you have all the blood work, and the cost is so much each month.  Then they add the MTX and and then increase the doses, then what?  they don't have an answer.  Go to the helen foundation website.  They have a treatment process that doesn't have the side effects, it won't destroy the kidneys or liver, and it doesn't loose efficacy.  Do some looking then e mail me if you have any questions.  helenfoundation.com and irsinaz@yahoo.com

When she told you to "butt out" you responded:

"no reason to be rude, only trying to help.  those drugs are toxic and they will stop working.  Hey if you would rather be close minded and ruin your body, not really having a chance to stop your disease. Go FOR IT."

We have your website, your email address, do you want to leave your phone number?  If anyone wants to pursue this they have the means to contact you.  Its time for you to leave Mr. Simple, and I suggest you do so before levlarry returns.

Now politely say goodbye and walk out the door - please close it on the way out.Joie or Hillhoney, go lock that door that he just went thru!  QUICK! Okay simple...dude.  I think you miss the main point that everyone is trying to make.  This is a support group.  It is for RA sufferers and sometimes family members.  Plain and simple you are being intrusive.  Without any rudeness intended...time for you to leave.Looks like LEVlarry is going to have take care of him. LEV is one BAD mamma-jamma. & he is not as nice as or should I say polite as some have been to you in asking you to leave.

Thanks you guys, but it did not even bother me after I went to lay down, because as LEV has said in the past , Mr. Simple a is low life scum feeding spammer.
Boy!! He's a tough one, just like Jonathan.
thank you but no.
I've called your clinic, and also sent this message:

Someone claiming to be an employee of The Helen Foundation, who has an email address of irsinaz@yahoo.com, is continually posting messages on the rheumatoid arthritis support message board at http://www.arthritisinsight.com/forum/default.asp (Arthritis Insight).  He has been repeatedly asked to leave, yet he refuses. His username on the board is "SimpleSolution" and he is an embarrassment to your clinic.  If you want to advertise, contact the forum owner and PURCHASE AN AD.
Mr. Simple (MINDED) everyone here has tried their best to tolerate you , but it has become the consensus that your presence is not wanted here so My God Man GO and don't let the Door hit you in the Ass!!!  (sorry ladies). If I had it in my power you would have been banned from this site the first day,  but alas we gave you the benefit of the doubt that you would take the subtle hints and stop Hawking.
NOW GET OUT!!!!!
Smart thinkin' Jasmine!!They are like cockroaches! They are hard to get rid of, and more of them always find us! LOL!

I say that about the Pharma-Reps. They are just like cockroaches, too. One comes in then before you know it there are 3 of them! Then when one leaves 2 more come in! It is really creepy LOL!
Thanks Jas.  I've tried to stay out of this as much as I could.  I did look into the Helen Foundation at one time and didn't like what I read and was told.  It wasn't the program for me.  I never could find the hard science or research to back up their claims.  If they had furnished me with everything I had asked for before they wanted their ,000 or a portion thereof I might have been more interested.  I don't blindly put my health at more of a risk much less my wallet because of testimonials, a spammer, or a website.

All of you have a right to be offended by Simple Solution and I'm glad that Jas reported the behavior.  Maybe this is how they do business, or possibly Simple Solution hasn't had the proper training but I would hope that someone from the Helen Foundation would apologize to the forum.

I believe that any person who comes on the forum suggesting that your choice of treatment is wrong should be ignored.   Even with AP we're all working together sharing information.  I would certainly hope that none of the APers would suggest that my treatment or anyone elses is wrong.  The forum is tolerant but we're not stupid. If we don't respond they'll go away.  Simple Solution is loving all this, look at the attention that they're receiving.  This is my last response to any of the threads regarding the Helen Foundation.  I hope that everyone follows suit.   Lindy
I have just tried reporting him to an administrator, don't know if anything will come of it but its worth a try.
Hopefully if enough people complain he will get removed
It will be great if something can be done about this person. Way to go Jas and Jay. Hopefully your efforts will pay off. would hate to see you have to take such a toxic drug.

Please think about it.

this is very offensive to us, that take similar meds..There are many of us doing well, don't have side affects, or liver trouble, and our meds have brought us into a controlled remissionJR - you are amazing

Lindy, I personally know I would never interfere in another's choice of health.  I care too much about myself in RA, that I have no time to meddle around in other human's decisions.  RA and AP seem to be tolerating each other, and the support in this room crosses all boundaries.

The above are the next seminars from the Helen Foundation...they just finished with MinnesotaThis is all you need to know about the Helen Foundation (besides the fact that they just want you to take prednisone for the rest of your life) - this is part of the enrollment form:

4. NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS. I understand that, although the Helen Foundation Clinic’s statistics indicate that 83% of its clients experience about an 80% reduction of symptoms for five of six enrolled due to long-term destructive inflammation and autoimmune disorders, the clinic does not and cannot guarantee the results of the Microdose Therapy program.
5. MEDICAL DISQUALIFICATION REFUND. I understand after entering the Microdose Therapy program and having undergone a medical examination, a Helen Foundation certified physician disqualifies me, I am entitled to a refund of the price paid for the program minus the administration fee (5.00), the cost of the medical examination (0.00), and any and all costs for laboratory tests.
6. VOLUNTARY WITHDRAWAL. I understand that if, for any reason, I voluntarily withdraw from the Microdose Therapy program, I am not entitled to receive a refund.
There are four professional testimonials on the helen foundation web site:

1.  A "public information memo" from the arthritis foundation from 1993 that leaves out a portion of the text of the so-called memo.  I have emailed the arthritis foundation to ask if they have any record of this memo.   The "memo" as it reads on the helen foundation website:

Microdose Therapy™...has very few, if any, side effects.

I wonder what it says in the "......." part?

2.  Dr. Charles H. Slocum, Mayo head of rheumatology - involved with the discovery of cortisol in the 40's - deceased. He supposedly said:

"Dr. Stenberg, physicians do not understand how to use cortisone. Stick to your guns!"

They all though it was great in the 50's.  The testimonial does not have a date.

3.  Dr. Lewis H. Sarret.  Merck team leader of chemists in the 40's who helped discover cortisol.  Probably deceased, but can not confirm via internet.  Only mention of him is in this history of the discovery of cortisol:

http://www.actasurologicas.info/v32/n01/ENG/3201OR01.htm

In 1946, Kendall isolated compound E (cortisone), that turned out to be the anti-inflammatory substance X in dog trials. Kendall was unable to synthetize a sufficient amount of product to be administered to patients. The problem was solved after a collaboration agreement was reached with Merck & Co Inc, whose chemists, under the direction of Lewis Sarret, designed a process for chemical synthesis of cortisone consisting of 37 chained chemical reactions, the most complex chemical synthesis ever carried out by any pharmaceutical company.

He supposedly said:

"
Congratulations on introducing 'Microdose Therapy.' It has clearly been a monumental effort and is now apparently on its way to success. There are few tougher challenges than bending medical opinion."

Again, another doctor with a vested interest in cortisone.  Testimonial does not have a date.

4.  Arizona Board of Medical Examiners supposed comment on Dr. Steinberg of the Helen Foundation:

"Dr. Virgil Stenberg has impeccable credentials and has done much research on rheumatoid arthritis and the use of steroids"

So he has done research and has not gotten in any trouble - big whoop.

So there you have it - the professional references of the Helen Foundation.  Still want to plunk down six grand when a months supply of prednisone is less than ten bucks?

Way to go Jas!  You rock!

You all rock!  I love AI!

Pip

OOOH go for it, if you have the time!  Report back to us and let us know how it went.  As a nurse, you should be able to sniff out the BS.
