Interesting - study says kids with h. pylori have less asthma.

Check out the little animated h. pylori at the top of the article. Ouch!!!!!!! I had h. pylori - EXACTLY what it feels like in the middle of the night, like it is burrowing into your stomach. Awful! I can't believe the little bugger feels so much like what it looks like.
Now, why is that? Did they say 'why' as that doesn't make sense? Unless it's like the malaria thing and sickle cell.
"The cause for the link isn't exactly clear, though the researchers believe that people with the bacteria have more immune cells called regulatory T cells. They say the surplus cells prevent the immune system from overreacting to allergens, which can trigger asthma and allergies like hay fever."
I was thinking your immune system is too busy trying to hold the infection down, so it doesn't go haywire elsewhere, so I guess I kind of got it right!
