Snack attack | Arthritis Information

I am alternating days on the prednisone as I am tapering off to begin the new DMARDS med this Fri. Well I took it this morning and for some reason I have been more hungry than ever. I had the worst snack attack and ate a whole package of 6 little chocolate donuts They were so yummy. Then I almost polised off a bag of white chedder popcorn. I feel positively ravenous. This can't be good; I am already dreaming about lunch. Before prednisone I had the willpower of steel. After prednisone I could not tell myself no even when my gut felt like it could burst from eating so much. Sometimes I had to go to bed just to stop eating. I'm down to 5 mgs a day now and I am getting things under control.

By the way- Wise makes reduced fat white cheddar popcorn 3 cups- 140 cals. and 5 gms fat. It's one of my passions.
what is the difference between prednisone and cortisone?
Wanttobe~~ Thanks for the tip. After chocolate white chedder popcorn
is my weakness.

Goodjuice~~ wish I could help you maybe someone else on the forum
will have an answer
I should have said one of my weaknesses.
I have a few.good juice- not really sure but I know you get cortisone in a shot and I take prednisone orally. But I've heard of people getting prednisone IV's....I really don't know the particulars-they are in the same family.Goodjuice - maybe this will help explain about the steroids.....

Brennaboo2008-07-22 11:32:45I'm on a three weeks off, one week on chocolate diet.  It's called the PMS plan.  I don't eat any chocolate for three weeks, but then the week arrives where I must have chocolate, and boy do I have chocolate.  This program is supplemented with chito's (cheese that goes crunch), popcorn (with lots of salt) and some pasta with alfredo sauce.

Disclaimer:  Following this program does not promote weight loss.  Side effects include fatigue, bloating, and unrealistic sense of pleasure, followed by extreme guilt.  Cramping and bleeding are also common.
HAHA - LOVE IT!
