going back to the drs. today, he already told me over the phone there is nothing much he can do i was allergic to remicade, humira and embrel i have fibromyalgia nd psoratric arthtirits affecting the sacral area and hips my whole body hurts, i cant wait to hear his explanations of whats next any ideas? i will let you know how i make out frustrated in pa debbieI'm curious, too. What is there after the biologics? Sorry you are in such pain, Deb. Please post back.Let us know Deb. What is he giving you to relieve the pain? Are you on mtx? I definitely would like to know what happens. I hope you get some answers and relief.

Not sure this will help you but I just read this and this is a different type of drug than the biologics...It's not on the market yet but it won't be long. you may want to discuss this drug with your RA doctor...to see if it may be someting they can use for your health situation, when it becomes available.

I sure hope they find something to help you get on a more even keel. Did you ever use Methotrexate or a Sulfa drug?

thanks guys, you are the best its all of you caring that gets me through this my in laws do not understand this at all they are no help. my dr. is trying methroxate inj. 7.5 weekely to start 60 mg of prednesone and lidocaine patches for my back he did more blood work and is checking the liver functions. did anyone try methroxate im scared and dont know what to expect. please write back or e mail me if you tried it thanks again for being there when i needed friends debbie

I'm surprised you were not on mtx along with biologics.

I agree with Marian. Talk to your doctor about Kineret. For some reason, it seems to be the red-headed stepchild of the biologics. Like sometimes I think doctors don't even know what it is. But I take it, and it seems to be working. And it's different from the other three, so maybe you won't be allergic.what is kineret if its like humira embrel and remicade i cant try it because of the allergic reactions. thanks all for your help

Lot's of us here take MTX. I take 22.5mg a week.

I also use the lidocane patches and love them.

So sorry to hear about what you have been going
through!! I take MTX (22.5/wk) and it really
helps. I was also hesitant and worried at first, but
I'm really glad I tried it. I had some nausea and
headaches the first few times I took it, but not too
much now.

Blessings..... well the insurance approved the mtx should be coming in the morning delivery i just have to wait to hear if my liver enzymes are normal before starting the injection thanks all for the support love debbie

I take MTX pills and althought they are not for everyone I have reacted to them very well. They eally helped me turn the corner in my treatment.
