So Far So Good | Arthritis Information

Well, I took the first round (half round of Mtx) and placquenil. So far I don't really have any terrible horrible side affects other than a little nauseous and really pooped out. I have been achey all over since taking them yesterday but then agan a huge rain storm  passed  through last night so that might be the cause. I do tend to get that way when we get rain. I hope this is a good sign that these meds might work for me and that I will be able to use them.

Glad to hear that everything is going well so far.  I hope that the meds don't cause you any problems.  I haven't used  placquenil, but I never had any problems with MTX.

Take care,

I get worse when it rains. And get this! The rain does not even have to fall where I live. I get aches, pains and swelling for rain that drops 7 miles away from. I can even tell when we are driving towards rain. Yep. It sucks.

Welp, keep us posted on how you are making out with the new meds.
This is a great start...very encouraging.  Congrats and keep us posted on your progress.  Mom2,

When I first started mtx I was nauseous for a full day and had dizziness and lightening type head aches. I kept having the effects the same day as injestion for probably a month and they finally slowly subsided. I started taking the mtx at night and still do just so I don't have to deal with any side effects. Good luck with it. If it doesn't work or needs some boosting, eventually they will put you back to practically good, just takes time. Oh yeah, take the mtx with "plenty of water".

Oh, one more thing, it is fact that caffiene lowers the effectiveness of mtx, I still do the caffiene the day of but, they say not to, oh well, just thought I'd pass that bit o info along.
