my rheumy gave me libroderm patches 5% ive had it on since 8 am with no difference i was wondering does it take a while to get in your blood stream thanks debMy hubby uses them for upper back and neck pain. He says his mouth tastes funny in about 15 - 20 minutes but he didn't find them helpful for neck pain.
I use lidoderm patches all the time mainly for fibromyalgia and nerve pain. You can use up to 3 at a time. If your doc writes the script right you will get enough to cover this many for a month. Mostly I use mine on my lower back and buttocks. They take a while to build up in your system so you need to adhear to the 12 hrs on and 12 hrs off for a couple of days.. also if they don't stick well go to the drug store and ask for a product called "skin prep" it is like alcohol wipes only has a sticky substance that helps things adhear better. Most people who have colostomys or appliances use them to get a better seal. they are about 12.oo a box for about 50 wipes. they will last quite a while. make sure you let it dry on your skin good before applying your patch. I have a TENS unit and also use them for the patches for it.
