Another hooray for RA | Arthritis Information

Today in a women's magazine I read that high CRP levels make you age faster. Another great thing to look forward to because of RA.

Must be the opposite for guys with RA.  I'm 32 and people tell me I still look like I'm about 17.  I've had JRA since I was 9.   But you're right, another fun side of having RA because while I may look that young, I feel 90.

Yep, I remember when I turned 26 people at this church thought I was only about 17. They were just shocked to know I was 26.

I do not look as old as I feel or my age. My mom is the same. SIL thought my mom was late 50's, and not 74. My oldest sister does not look 50, maybe early 40's.
Oh good - I dodged that bullet, my CRP has always been fine.    No where did the gray hair come from????When I am out with my 19 year old son, people assume we are brother and sister. We both get a kick out of it since I am actually 43Well this is encouraging! Perhaps I can file that bit of information along with the other articles in those magazines like so and so lost 7 lbs in one week eating such and such!If I'm out with my son, the wait staff thinks he's my date and try to give him the bill.... either I look young, or he looks old.... nah it's just cause he's bald!I think the aging they are referring to is in the inside.  I'm 46 and people guess me in my early 30's all the time.  My mom is the same way and so is my son (non RA people).

That is too funny about your son getting the bill really.  Maybe there is sort of a fountain of youth effect on our skin.  I'd much rather look 42 than be in pain and stiff but you can't win them all.
