Enough Now I Say!! | Arthritis Information

Today is the first time in weeks that I've been able to take the time to attempt to catch up with the board. So what do I find? I find "This board is going to H*&% faster than a snowball rolling downhill to H*&%!" because of the political posts.

The political posts must stop!! For sure there are a good many people suffering from RA who haven't posted because those who have genuine knowledge, compassion, empathy, etc. are taking the time to respond to the irrelevant political posts. Irrelevant in that they most certainly shouldn't have a place on this board.

For all participating in the "political posts" I ask that you take your egos elsewhere.

"Gentle Hugs" To All That Need Them.........

WW I know you probably mean well but I get a lot of info here. All sorts of info. I think Lorster responded somewhere stating we discuss all aspects of life here. Mostly with RA but touch on many subjects. WW It's reall very simple. Ignore the ones you don't like and stop Pontificating to others and take your " my way or the highway " approach elsewhere

Happy to see you posting, watchingwolf. I was just thinking about you this morning around 6am when I was trying to go to sleep. I was wondering how you & your mom was doing.

Hope everything is going well.

Do you happen to remember one of those new members (your quote) "for those suffering with RA who haven't ever posted on this board and are looking for advice, info, empathy, etc. and so forth" named Ari33? You remember her don't you? She came here as a newbie and posted abouting the benefits of keeping a good attitude. You remember her right? Do you remember the way you and some others brutally attacked her and the filthy nasty things you said to her and about her? Yous just didn't like that she could come here acting like she were a regular. My question to you is where do you get off scolding anybody for forum ettiquette? How would you like to "wade" through that Ari33 thread and the things you said to her? Shame on you for acting like some peace angel.

levlarry: For sure I remember my less than kind remarks made to ari33 and with much regret and embarrassment. I, too, remember my apologies. However, I'm not attacking the political position of any person on this board. I'm simply asking that people refrain from political issues.  To ask people to refrain from discussing political issues isn't personally attacking anyone or their political position.
So why are you attempting to muddy the waters? Are you involved with politics or a bystander like so many others?
SHUDDUP WOLFIE! IF YOU DON'T LIKE'EM DON'T READ'EM

GENTLE HUGS TO YUHheck.. there's forums in here where NO ONE POSTS..

maybe one can be made a political forum... then the politico's have their place.. and the RA'rs would have theirs..

How bout the Daypro one?

and happiness would reign once again.

Watchingwolf, I can understand trying to wade through all the OT posts to find ones relevant to your health needs.. I hope you are doing well.

WW,
I'm sorry, but I think "they" who like to discuss politics have done what we asked, which is label their posts OT.  Don't read them if you don't want to.  I don't.  I read what is relevent to me.  Why are you fueling the fire by dedicating a post to it?
Phats
[QUOTE=watchingwolf]The point I'm making isn't about me! Again, my concern is for those suffering with RA who haven't ever posted on this board and are looking for advice, info, empathy, etc. and so forth.
Nor did I say those who have posted thoughtful advice and information, as well as extending their warmth and compassion aren't the dearest and sweetest people to be found. What I'm asking is that these people and everyone else not to be involved with political issues. There isn't any reason for anyone to have to wade through the mud slinging and everything else that goes with politics.

"Hello Joonie".

WW   Look how many " newbies " have joined recently. There happy to be here , as I was when I found this place and joined .I think any Adult can see O/T and realize it's not RA related. Why can't you? Why are you so afraid of political issues? I sure don't agree with many but I'm  happy that people post so debate can happen. Takes your mind off all the pain sometimes....
This is a huge year politically. I think any one that hopes to cool the political discussions this year is hoping for too much.

And moving OT anything to another area of the board doesn't work. We've tried that before. The only thing that has ever worked is to tag them all OT. The majority of our members are really good about doing that.
