have something very strange happening to me. About 8 or so weeks ago my left ankle started hurting. It hurt on the tendon on top. After a few day the pain got worse and I hadnt hurt it. I went to the Dr.( in a walk in clinic) He looked it over and thought it may be tendonitis but wasnt sure. He sent me for blood work to test for Rhemetoid and Lupus and other things that can attack healthy joints etc out of the blue. He also gave me an antinflamitory cream to rub on it since he knew I had stomach issues. The next week I got a call from my family Dr who got a copy of the blood result. The message said my blood work looked good but my iron was a bit low and to start on iron supplements ( I made a post about Iron supplements at that time). Great but that doesnt explain my initial issue.
The next week my ankle is even worse. I am in more pain and am having issues walking down the stairs. I have to hold on to things to walk in the morning and my right ankle is getting a bit achy as well. I go back to the clinic hoping to see the same Dr again- he is not there. The Dr that sees me and checks my ankle and presses in certain places and say I have tendonitis and prescribes me Voltaren. It doesnt help much but I take it to ease some pain and swelling.
The next week my right ankle is swelling and very painful. My left one seems to be easing up and is stiff in morning and still hurt to go down stairs. This continues and I knew the tendontitis is BS since it has now moved to my right ankle and my knees are aching.
Last week on July 18 I go back to the Dr. My right ankle is VERY swollen , hot and painful. I told him what has been going on and what tests have been done. He says he is not sure what it is - looks like some sort of arthritic inflamation. He wants more bloodworks done. He promises me he will call me with the result and follow up. He prescribes me prednisone. I started that. I started feeling much better. With in two day I was pain and swelling free. This is great!! No calls from any Drs all last week. I had to stopped taking the prednesone a few days ago and my symptoms are back.
