I am having a block done on my back on Friday. Because of the medications they use I have to stay overnight. The last one I had 4-5 months ago seemed to help some. My doctor uses something called duramorph along with a steroid. The duramorph makes me itch like crazy so I get lots of IV benadryl which makes me tired so I sleep a whole lot. I wish I had one of their beds at home, I can put the feet up and get comfortable, something I can't do at home. I've had this one scheduled for a couple of weeks and I'm glad I had it scheduled because yesterday I got rearended by the car behind me. I'm sore today.
When I was unable to sleep in my bed during my onset my GP said she would prescribe a hospital bed that my insurance company would pay for. Is that an option for you?
