Okay 1st of all I want to thank you all for the warning that I did not really heed. You were right! Me being bull-headed and want everything to be okay witth me did not work. Ilove Cliffty Falls. But Geocahing down trails and bolders and rocks and water..well did not do me good. I only could do 1 1/2 caches. My knees gave out now my left foot is so swoolen.

Don't  know why. It was like a bone sticking out of my foot. Very painful and weird! Can barely walk now. Stupid stupid! Just want't to have some fun is all. But spent my time in the truck with Kenna until John said I will take you back to camp.
Not a fun weekend. I wanted to Geochach...but couldn't. Bummer indeeed!
Good news is John found al the Caches! Yeah! He won a Cliffty Falls Hat. Pretty cool huh? I don't know what the thing is on my foot but I see my Ra Dr. on Tuesday.
Thanks again for your help and suggestions. Oh and by the way I did have hiking boots.
It's so hard when we just want to have fun.

I sure hope it isn't anything to serious.  Best of luck.  I hope it goes away real soon.

Yes we all want in our minds to GO...GO....GO...but most times our bodies say NO...NO...NO......

I am sorry to hear your foot is giving you major issues hopefully you can find out Tuesday what is going when you see your doctor....

OH CONGRATS to John for winning a hat!!!!!!
Thanks wizbiz and Shy. I know I over did it. but Just wanted to have some fun for once. Thanks Guys!Hope you are feeling good again soon!hi Lostpoet, sorry about your ouchies. What the heck is a cache?
Just curious!
hi Lostpoet, sorry about your ouchies. What the heck is a cache? OIC.....sounds like fun. Never heard of it. I've heard of scavenger hunts. We had lots in cub scouts when I was cubmaster but we didn't use a GPS unit. LOL
We did more of a nature hunt like maple leave, acorn., etc.
That's one thing that really sucks about this disease is not being able to do the things we like to do sometimes or doing them then paying for it later.
I hope the RD can help you, Lostpoet!
Congrats to the cache winner!
Hey now, we do have some hills in Brown County area and southern IL. We could trip over the corn stalks. LOL
Hey now, we do have some hills in Brown County area and southern IL. We could trip over the corn stalks. LOL
I went camping down in Southern Illinois years ago - it was beautiful!!  I must admit I was a little freaked out by the 3-D landscape.I know this guy that has an awesome arrowhead collection from walking the cornfields and river banks. He's a something ologist (don't know the word). He knows alot about them and has some 20,000 years old. I was amazed. I used to clean his house (pre-ra had a cleaning business) and I didn't touch the cases he had them in. LOL afraid of breaking them.Much hugs to you, LostPoet!

You will learn to adjust in time. Until then, I guess learn your limits and then try not to over do. Easier said then done... I know.

joonie2008-08-03 23:58:31Hope your foot is feeling a little better today.  It's tough to give in and admit you have to limit yourself at times.    Good luck at your appt on Tuesday.  Hope your foot is doing better.  I think knowing our limits is key to not getting hurt and having some fun.  Hiking_galSorry you foot is so bad and I hope your RD can give you some relief.  I too am trying to enjoy physical activities as much as possible.  I am still running agility with my two dogs and plan to continue as long as I am able.  A couple of things help.  First, I wear a good pair of knee braces, and will probably add ankle supports for the fall trial season.  I wish there was such a thing as hip braces (maybe really, really tight granny underwear?
