How long does it take these B12 supplements to kick in? I'm here at work just wanting to put my head down on my desk.

My doctor is on vacation.....
I am napping at work right along with ya!!  I am on the second day of what I am sure will be a three day migraine.  If it wasn't for relpax and a lot of vicodin, I would really be in bad shape!  Luckily, the boss isn't in today but tomorrow we have an absolute FULL schedule and will be busier than heck.  UGH.

Have you talked to your doc about provigil, it really helps with the fatigue.  I can no longer take it because of a heart condition but it did help when I could!
From my experience with B12 shots, it has to build up in your body at first.  Then, a maintenance dose will perk me up within 24 hours.  Give it some time.

I don't think that B12 builds up in your system much.  They are one of the water soluble vitamins.. not oil soluble like Vit A.
I usually feel better the first day.. and continue to feel better subsequent days with regular use.

How's your sleep, wanttobe?  You may be sleeping but is it broken sleep?  a good sound sleep?

Point being, maybe you're just not getting the rest you really need?
If anyone wants to say, "AUD! Shut up about the Vitamin D!" Feel free! I'm probably very annoying! anaudlife2008-08-07 08:28:34

I sleep good and sound.  I have always felt extra fatigue for 2 to 3 days after I take my MTX on Mondays but not like this and it's already Thursday!

I did read that your body really doesn't need that much B12 at all...I just don't know why I am not getting relief!

Micheleb- sounds like you have a cluster headache! Besides taking fiorinal I find putting icy hot on the back of my neck and the bottom of my "head bones" and a cold cloth over my eyes really helps.
I never heard of provegil...
I have been extra fatigued the last couple of weeks, myself. But I think mine is because of not having any Remicade in a while.

I could go back to sleep now, if I just would go lay down LOL!

Hope it eases up for you soon, the fatigue.
Hope tomorrow is better - at least it's Friday and the workweek is almost over.  Rest up over the weekend.   I can't add anything of value except to say I sympathize with what your dealing with.  To have a full work load and no energy to do it is stressful and that's the last thing you need.  I hope you get the relief you need soon.  I actually do have off from work tomorrow. We are taking our son back to school six hours away. I don't have to do any of the driving. I'm sure I will be stiff and sore after the ride. I thought I'd be better this year but I am already feeling sad. Last year -his first year away) I made a fool of myself crying. I just couldn't stop! I wasn't sobbing or anything but we were sitting in the diner having breakfast before we were going to take him back to the dorm and leave and the tears were just streaming down my face. He actually looked scared- like what is wrong with mom? The waitress never said a word about it but was acting very kind which touched my heart and made me cry even more!
I hope I can get a handle on my emotions this year!
I hope this year will be easier for you.  Is your son the last one - so you're empty-nesters?   My youngest goes to college this fall, but he's only going to be 30 min away and while I know he'll be back often enough, it's still bothering me a little.    It's a mixed bag isn't it?  Happy that they're on their own, learning and meeting new people, but also missing the little boy who needed their moms.

No Cathy- he's my middle child! I'm just really emotional when it comes to my kids. When my youngest goes in 2 years- I can't even imagine....He and I have always been joined at the hip.
