Hi all,  I feel so much better after going to the cancer center.

Just knowing the details makes me feel better all over.  The Oncologist explain everything in detail, he told me the good and the bad, what could happen, but would be rare and what is going to happen.  He told  me that the cancer was in the early stages and she got all she could see.  He's going to order a pet scan and he thinks radation with small amounts of chemo will take care of it, but he also said I would need  cat scans and mri every 2 to 4 months over the next two years, than evrey 6 months,  because they can't be sure the treatments will kill all of it.  I  won't be able to eat for  6 or 7 weeks because the treatment will burn the mouth and throat, may need a feeding tube.  Can't start till mouth heals, be 4 to 6 weeks before they start them.
When I asked for copies of the medial records,  he said sure and went out and came back with copies,  Everyone  was so nice.  He understood me and answered all my questions, never once asked me to repeat.  He explained and answered most of them before I asked.  I know I have a long road ahead, but I feel like I have someone who is going to let me know everything,  that is going on.  Funny what the truth can do, good or bad, just knowing is what I needed.
Thank You for all your replys and help.
Rusty

hi,   when going over the operative report yesterday, it was telling how deep the cancer was , one  place it says the wound was carried deeply to the mental area, I was just wondering what the mental area is?
