I went to cancer center today and I had a page full of questions for them, LOL                      I got a lot of answers, which is good.  The cancer was a stage 1, no nodes,  still need radation,  the area where it is can be easily got to, so they can blooked my teeth and the bridge can stay,   No chemo IV.  going to give it to me another way,  not sure, I think it comes in pills, I was so happy I didn't ask.   I may not need a feeding tube, that is a wait and find out Sept. 3rd.  I know its not going to be easy,  but its not as bad as I was being lead to believe.  You all have been great,  thanks for your prayers.

Have a great day
Rusty

my dad loved ice cream after his radiationWonderful news, Rusty.  I'm really looking forward to hearing more of the same.  As always, we're here for you, thinking of you and wishing you all good things.  Awesome news Rusty!  You must be so relieved. Of course, the prayers will continue.

Hugs & more hugs~~~
Thanks all, your the greatest.   I went and got my mask yesterday and another scan.  I will need the feeding (peg) tube.  can't  believe they make a mask and fasten your head down where you can't move it during radation.  I can understand it, sure wouldn't want the radation to go anywhere its not suspose to.   I have read up on all of this so I knew what was going to happen and all the bad stuff that is ahead,  I'm funny that way I want to know it all, I can handle it better that way and if parts of it don't happen,  then I have something to be glad about...LOL  I should start about the Sept. 9th.  If everything goes right, it will hit me hard about 3 weeks later and be bad for the next 4 - 5 weeks,  then starts getting better with time.  If I do what they tell me and keep plenty of fluid  in me, I'll do fine,  After the burning nerve pain that I had with the RA, I know I can do this, just going to hate it being in my mouth, I'll do like everyone else if it gets too  bad and live on pain pill for a while...LOL   thanks again
Rusty
