I am flairing right now, so is it okay to take MTX? Hands are swollen & hot. I would think it would be the best thing for you.I am not sure wantobe, I am not on anything for flares. I stay in a constant flare. Hopefully some one will help you sweetie.

I hope it doesn't last to long. big hugsI know when i was on it, i couldn't take it but that day scheduled unless i missed the day and took it fast after.

I was told to take other drugs like 800mg ibuprofen, naproxen etc. they help somewhat with pain, but work mostly on the swelling.

Flaring is part of RA and not an infection. I see no reason not to take MXT, that's what it's for. I've never not taken MXT for anything other than an infection or positive labs. If you're still unsure tomorrow call your RD. Hope your night is comfortable. Lindy definitely take your scheduled dose!! It's helped me in a flare.
