Dot,t know why, but I feel sick and tired. My feet and ankles are swolllen and my hands, hips back, elboews. I feel crappy. Everything is red and inflamed.
My Rd said Ibubrofin, but didnt'd tell me how much to take. I am living on Excerdin now for pain, but the reddeness and swelling never stops.
I am so embaresd to be this way.I gave up the art work..no can do. Makes me cry. My poetry..I can barely type much less hold a pen to write. I hate this RA CRAP!!!Oh one more thing. My leg bones feel like a tinkling plus pain. does ayone go through this?lostpoet..you honestly don't know why you feel sick and tired.....for God's sake you say you are 81lbs...at that weight your electrolytes are out of balance, you are not absorbing enough nutrients to keep a child alive.

Buckeye is right tho- you are very ill and need to see a doctor as soon as possible. You need to get on the right medications. We worry about you!
then go to the bloody emergency room...they can not deny you emergency care...and at your weight you are an emergencyAt least take the doctors good advice, ibuprofin, not excedrin. Excedrin is good for headache but advil (ibuprofin) is an anti-inflamatory and inflamation is causing the pain. Good luck with it.

Thanks guys. I will take heed on this. But don't like hospitals. They scare me. Still where I live, they whay moneyy now; no payment plans in place.lostpoet..i don't mean to come across unsympathetic but I am going to be blunt...you can die as you are sitting around waiting fro your next doctors appt. You need to say the hell with the money and get to the emergency room or free clinic or something. right now the RA is the least of your worries...your body is wasting away...that has to be your primary concern..You need to get help and get it nowhospitals scare you...do cemeteries? all hospitals have payment plains..by law they can not turn away emergency patientsI would like to know why my body is wasting. This scares me to death. Does Ra cause this or is it something else? I am so scared as of the outcome of all. And no cemetaries don't scare me but deah does. If it in a painful way.we can't tell you why for sure..RA can cause it in severe cases but without an exam to rule out anything you can't be sure. i know you are scared but you need to seek answersCREEZUS JYST Woman! You have every reason to feel sad, scared, overwhelmed, and have a huge pity party. That's understandable. Okay, you did that, now what???? It's time to start doing something. Buckeye is right, you need to get medical help and quickly. Or would you prefer to just have "MARTYR" carved on your headstone?

sweetie, It's a long story, but my son's girlfriend is living with us. She doesn't have any type of medical insurance and needed to go to the dr. We went to the health clinic first. You can sign-up there and be seen by doctors on a sliding fee scale. Son's gf doesnt work and since she was a new patient, we had to make an appt. for a few weeks away since they are so busy here. The lady was very very kind and suggested we take her to the ER at the hospital to be seen because they can't turn anyone away. So, off we went to the ER and they were so nice. Son's gf kept saying "but I can't pay you" and they said not to worry about it, that they had lots of organizations who will pay the bill based on patient's ability to pay. Also, there's the Lion's club, the Eagles, etc. who love to contribute to med. necessities like this. Please do not hesitate. Get a friend to help you start calling around, but first get yourself to the ER!

I hope you took Buckeye's advice and went to the ER. You will continue to feel bad if you don't take action to correct this. You need answers and you need them now. We cannot diagnose you or tell you that RA is your problem. I think Buckeye is right when she tells you that RA is the least of your worries. You are wasting away and need to get to the root of that. Have you ever had your glucose checked? High blood sugars can create a situation where you lose copious amounts of weight, then you get weak and waste away. It could be a lot of things that is causing this, but, if you don't get it checked, you will never know. That is why it is imperative that you go to the ER. They cannot and will not turn you away for your inability to pay. We are not being cruel...we are worried about you. Please keep posting and hopefully you can let us know that you went to the ER. Go to the ER at your local hospital!!! If the hospital accepts federal grants (and most of them do), it cannot refuse to treat you for lack of money. Google "Hill-Burton Act" and it will give you more info about free care of what to do if a collection agency is after you for previous hospital bills.

Do you have an appetite but don't feel like cooking or you have no appetite and can't eat? I lost a great amount of weight also and finally am going to see a doctor on 9/3/08. I'm scared also. A friend of mine gave me some naproxen (500mg.) and since I've taken 1 of them a day I have not been in pain and able to cook for myself. Well last week I gained 3 pounds. So it could be that you need medicine (like me) to control your RA so you can care for yourself properly. I was hungry but didn't feel like cooking and I don't like fast food that much.
