What Voices Do You Hear?

Come September, it will be alright.

The voices tell you so.

August was torrential to say the least

That’s supposed to be a secret!; he says.

Like this every year.; she says.

All agrees.

Through the years there are warnings and surprises,

Along with the comfort they can give.

When they choose to.

Who do you listen to now?

Now that the voices are waning with the falling of autumn.

What voices do you hear?

Care to play?

I’m writing.

He’s screaming.

She’s dying.

She dances once again.

And all the voices gather as a deep dark symphony that is forever

In perpetual disharmony in one mind.

Cinda
