Hi my name is TERESA. I have been sick since may. I first had pnuemonia and then pluersy. I had gone back to work for 4 days at the end of june. I have had stiffness and tired for a year I thought it was just a 40+ with a 5 yr old and I worked out 6x a week and worked as a hairdresser anyways I went back to work sore all over 4 days later it started to attak joint by joint putting me in a wheelchair in a week . Each joint stayes flare for 4 days and then moves on leaving that joint slightly damaged. I am not in the wheelchair now but about every few weeks it flares on something. I am just coming out bof one that attaked my middle finger rt hand. Now my chest joints are imflamed and I have been having chest pains. I have seen a rhuemy 5x. I am shopping for new one the last few times I have been ther he has blow me off giving me 5 min squeezed my joints so hard tghat it hurt bad and when I had a list including the chest pains he said I was stressed and blew me off. Well I am a proactive person OI am not able to work but everyday unless I am really flaring I get up and get some exercise go to the gym and ride the bike swimming or today walking so he does not know me I cleared the exercise with gp. Anyways I have been on other chat lines in canada but nobody hardly replies sometimes I just want to blow steam or help people or just have somebody I know with the same problems to talk to thanks for letting me join and I hope to get to know you soon.....TERESA merry38628.5797916667

Teresa; I replied to your first post. Click on the same one and then scroll down. You'll see the replies and then you can reply to that reply there.

You pretty much said the same thing again in this post...but did not respond to my first response. Do you not understand how to use the message board?

Check my first response.  I have simular chest pains and it's all normal for RA.

You didn't mention that wheelchair part. If you have been so bad it's put you in a wheelchair in a matter of days I'd certainly advise getting another opinion fast. What medications do you take?

Hi Merry,

Welcome!  I've had chest pain as well...comes and goes with me.

Where in Canada are you?

Kelly

Welcome Teresa, you'll find some good company here. Everyone is taken seriously and if we can help with moral support or other support just ask away.

Mike

I'm in Ontario...beautiful day here as well and should be the same most of the week, but getting colder by the end of the week.

Hi and welcome.

Chest pains not only hurt but they scared me the 1st time I got them.  Once I figured out that I wasn't having some kind of heart attack - I quit freaking out. I have not had that darling pain since I've been on biologics.

Mike; I so like what you said in your welcome.

Thankyou Mike for the great post right now I am so overwelmed with everything and alot of pain and changes in my life if you can remember back. I live at the drs and sometimes it feel like some monster is inside chewing my body. It is hard < I know it is just a matter of the right meds and the right lifestlye I just have to take one day at a time. I try to do as much as I can but some days are brutal. So if I can come here and tell my woes and also my good things you guys are people who have been there just one big support group. When I am flaring I do not sleep so I will be on in the middle of the night sometimes thankyou .....TERESA

Welcome to the board.

chest pain is a scary thing. I have  heart failure as well as RA so when I get chest pain it can really be crazy making. For me I can tell imediately if its heart or RA by taking a nitro tablet..if it still hurts, its RA...

Don't let a dr with a poor bedside manner treat you. You need someone who understands and works WITH you.

Teresa, most of us know about living at the doc's office. I've just gone beyond the one year mark of RA symptoms and I would guess that I have spent more time at the doc box in the last year than in the previous 20 years combined. I am sick of it! But, the visits are starting to taper off as the meds begin to work. Every part of me has been examined in multiple ways. I've done everything my rheumy has asked of me and it has certainly paid off by way of him realizing that I'm serious when I say I don't feel good. I'm speaking only for myself, but while I still have pains, there is definitely light at the end of tunnel.

Mike
