Once upon a time, on a farm in Virginia , there was a little red hen who

scratched about the barnyard until she uncovered quite a few grains of

wheat.

She called all of her Democrat neighbors together and said, 'If we plant

this wheat, we shall have bread to eat. Who will help me plant it?'

'Not I,' said the cow.

'Not I,' said the duck.

'Not I,' said the pig.

'Not I,' said the goose.

'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red hen, and so she did.

The wheat grew very tall and ripened into golden grain.

'Who will help me reap my wheat?' asked the little red hen.

'Not I,' said the duck.

'Out of my classification,' said the pig.

'I'd lose my seniority,' said the cow.

'I'd lose my unemployment compensation,' said the goose.

'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red hen, and so she did.

At last it came time to bake the bread.

'Who will help me bake the bread?' asked the little red hen.

'That would be overtime for me,' said the cow.

'I'd lose my welfare benefits,' said the duck.

'I'm a dropout and never learned how,' said the pig.

'If I'm to be the only helper, that's discrimination,' said the goose.

'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red hen. She baked five

loaves and held them up for all of her neighbors to see.

They wanted some and, in fact, demanded a share.

But the little red hen said, 'No, I shall eat all five loaves.'

'Excess profits!' cried the cow. (Nancy Pelosi)

'I demand equal rights!' yelled the goose. (Jesse Jackson)

The pig just grunted in disdain. (Ted Kennedy)

And they all painted 'Unfair!'picket signs and marched around and around

the little red hen, shouting obscenities.

Then the farmer (Obama) came. He said to the little red hen,

'You must not be so greedy.'

'But I earned the bread,' said the little red hen.

'Exactly,' said Barack the farmer. 'That is what makes our free enterprise system so wonderful. Anyone in the barnyard can earn as much as he wants. But under our modern government regulations, the productive workers must divide the fruits of their labor with those who are lazy and idle.'

And they all lived happily ever after, including the little red hen, who smiled and clucked, 'I am grateful, for now I truly understand.'

But her neighbors became quite disappointed in her. She never again baked bread because she joined the 'party' and got her bread free. And all the Democrats smiled. 'Fairness' had been established.

Individual initiative had died, but nobody noticed; perhaps no one cared...so long as there was free bread that 'the rich' were paying for.

Bill Clinton is getting million for his memoirs.

Hillary got million for hers.

That's million for the memories from two people, who for eight

years, repeatedly testified, under oath, that they couldn't remember

anything.

IS THIS A GREAT BARNYARD OR WHAT?

Mccain was talking about how great the economy was and someone asked him how many homes he owns and he replied "I'm not sure let me ask someone from my staff."

he comes back with " I think it is four".

DUH!!!!!

Is it 4 or 7 homes he has??????...Does he Have dementia, he doesn't know?..Give the man a teleprompter, or his index cards!

Later, the McCain campaign told Politico that McCain and his wife, Cindy, have at least four in three states — Arizona, California and Virginia. Newsweek recently estimated the two owned at least seven properties.

Last week McCain cracked that being rich in the U.S. meant earning at least million a year. With most Americans feeling the pinch of a worsening economy, the remarks allow Democrats to suggest that McCain cannot relate to ordinary voters
That was a TOTALLY stupid thing for him to say. He should have known better then to set himself up that way. I don't know if this is the case, but sometimes people, especially wealthy people, own property or other valuables as investments and really don't know where all their money is. Yep!Why would it matter how many homes one has? They already know their incomes, as if that matters. I don't think it matters how many homes he owns. But to say..gosh, I don't even know how many homes I own............it just comes off sounding very, I don't know. Is frivolous the right word? He stopped counting and the money from the lobbyists keep rolling in. Ah, it's great to be an American. Yeah, I know how many I have - one and I'm holding onto it with my fingernails. That's why it matters. Because comments like that are insensitive when so many are losing their homes!I hope you all don't mind me reminding you that it's no crime to be rich here in these United States. I know the Dems want to make everyone believe that it is, altho many of them are. Remember John Edwards 0.00 haircut. Weren't the same people sticking up for him that are now ragging on Senator McCain for saying that 5 million dollars is rich and that he doesn't know how many houses he owns? If you are a low millionare that isn't rich anymore, ask Ed McMahan. Did you ever consider that Mrs. McCain and John McCain's ownerships are kinda individual? Did you ever consider that financial advisors and institutions keep track of how many houses and other financial dealings are had? John McCain may not be rich but certainly his wife is. Maybe John McCain takes care of political business and Mrs. McCain and the financial advisors take care of the financial business. Let's not get sidetracked by gobblty-goop as CNN and the Obama camp wants everyone to as the numbers for Obama continue to slide because of the "real" issues, not the gooblty-goop issues. People are now beginning to see what Senator Obama has to offer as he has had to show his "real" knowledge and beliefs and not some eloquently made up super star read from a tele-promter.

I heard today that McCain is housing an elderly aunt in one of his houses. Meanwhile Obama's brother is living in a small shack on a dollar a month in Nairobi. Crazy.
