Hi,

Is anyone using this?  I am seeing my RD tomorrow.  I am having all sort of stomach problems, am currently off all meds except enbrel, i am going to request MTX Inject if she wants me back on MTX.  I had been on darvocet, 8 tabs a day, but they were really messing up my stomach, so i was thinking about asking for a patch.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Boy am I intrested in that. I am constiantly flaring and I try not to take my pain meds my dr always gives me hell but I hate them and he told me I need to take them so I do not get stressed from the pain which would make me worse. A patch would be so cool and easier on the stomach I already take enough pills..........TERESA Ps I will follow the info you hopefully get thanks goodluck

Thanks for the Info.

What were you on prior to the patch?

Lovie is the patch equal to what a tylonel extra or a asprin or stonger than that thanks TERESA

I've never been just on the patch. My doctor gave them to me to try a couple years ago for some nerve damage on my leg. He just gave me some samples....and I did like them so he gave me a prescription.

I'd say they are better than OTC pain medications for certain types of pain.

i tried the patch you have to be careful , because even through a hot flash it gives off too much med. at once i was getting to much pain med. and then nothing, i  tried this week though just a libroderm patch its like a numbing pain are patch, but personally it isnt doing anything i feel no different i have it on daily on my lower back and feel no difference. i still take my 6-8 percocets daily with some relief. but check with the dr. and find out what exactly stregeth are the patches. i was on 75 duragesic.  good luck

The patch i am refering to is Fentanyl.  Here is a link to WebMd

Oh sorry guys. I use something called a Lidocane patch. You stick it on the particular area that hurts.

I've never seen these.
