8 miles40 miles - I am fortunate, the Hospital/Clinic I go to  is in the same village I work in.  I stop on my way home.
How far do you drive to see your RD roundtrip? 148 miles round trip, but worth it70 miles
of course around here EVERYTHING is at least 25 miles away..
luckily our village has an excellent hospital and my pcp is here.. I only have to drive to see the rd..  and since that town is where walmart, Joann's  and Home cheapo is I make a day of it..
130 miles for the first RD but I will not be seeing him again, My new one (when I finally get the new referral) is 280.  About 200 and worth it!About a year ago, he moved offices to the town next to mine so it is only 13 miles round trip. It used to be closer to 30. I'd go even farther than that if I had to. He's worth it. 250 miles. I have to take a full day off work, but only go 2x a year now. Would like someone closer but couldn't find one willing to treat my weird array of symptoms.2 miles round trip : )
2 miles round trip : )
Wow - I think I'd walk if mine was that close!I can walk if I want to.  It is also my workplace!
I can walk if I want to.  It is also my workplace!
Awesome!
I think it's about 60 miles round trip. It's not that big of a deal most of the time but he's been wanting to check my blood work every couple of weekd due to some high liver panels. That's difficult for me. My GP did them for me once but now her office is saying she can't do them unless she orders the test. That's bad in my opinion. I don't really have time to go all the way down there just for blood work every two weeks. If I didn't work it' would be one thing; but working it's difficult. I have to be off a half a day to go down there.
I think it's about 60 miles round trip. Can't you use a 3rd-party lab (Quest, Labcorp), or the local hospital?  You might want to ask at your next visit.
My rheumy gives me my lab slips when I go to him so that I can get then done at the local lab and he has the results faxed and mailed to him.  When he gets them, he mails me a copy.  My PCP on the other hand, never gives me results.  I hate that.about 60 miles round trip for meAbout 90 miles now.  I did have to drive back from our place in Mexico and it was 2,000 miles round trip to see my RD.  I've since found an RD in Mexico that I can see, thankfully.  Lindy

WELL, before he was fired 50 miles round trip. When I find a new one, it still will be fifty miles. I live halfway between Springfield and Decatur, IL in the middle of cornfields and cows. So I can go to either town just as long as he/she is in my insurance (Health Alliance) network. First thing Monday, I'm on it to find a new one.

about 15 miles RT...5 miles round trip.
