Hi I am new to the board..after 8 LONG MISdiagnosed months I finally got to right dr who diagnosed me correctly..and hadda have arthroscopic surgery of my knee..it's been over 2 wks and still can't walk really or bend it at all:( Looking for support and ppl who've been thru it I guess via this board..hope I am in right place..anyone been there..how long did it take..did 5 sessions of PT so far ..in addition during the time I was misdiagnosed I busted my ilitibial band in the left upper thigh:( How long did it take til u felt better if u have had this done?Hi there.  Like you I have also had arthroscopic surgery done to my knee due to torn cartilage.  I consider you lucky that it only took 8 months of misdiagnosis- I had 2 years of it and docs refusing an M.R.I scan- it was only after 2 years of nagging that they folded!  Anyway, I'm not sure if this is news you were looking for but I had my surgery in Jan of this year (2008), I needed 2 months on cruches and  I am only just feeling comfortable and confident enough to kneel down.  In Jan when I had the surgery I had a 2 year old who needed nappy changes so had to find a way to improvise!  Anyway, I suppose every1 is different and their bodys heal at different sppeds so just cos mine took 8 months doesn't mean it will be the same for you.  Hope this helps
