Well its still spanking us 6 days later. no power 4 days now water is still up to house at least it didnt come in likke so many in our area streets. They say we will not have power 7 or 8 more days. not to say the least we are trying to move  by the 1st of the month. We just cant do this anymore in 2004 when we had all those hurricanes we were flooded and out of power 2 months. This time flooding is worse and the county promised they had fixed the problem. Well they didnt So I am flaring  really bad and now have to start the task of moving

Sorry this has happened to you :(My

I'm sorry to hear that Fay has not treated your area well.   Hope it's a short move and you can get back in your place with no damage.   The continuing rain is an issue, isn't it?  Especially at the amounts in a short period of time.    My mom is on the east coast - lots of rain, but no flooding.  She sent one brief email to sum up the situation  (inserted below) have to keep your sense of humor. ("My Fair Lady" - just in case you don't get the joke)

I think I've got it!
By God, I think I've got it!
"The rain in Fay fell mainly on Palm Bay!"
Hi Doobgirl, Fay certainly has made a mess several times through!  Unbelievable.  I'm so sorry that you're stuck in this.  There's not much you can do.  Are you moving to another area of Florida or out of state?  I had to move once when I was flaring badly and we called in all of our friends and had a packing and moving party.  It took several weekends but with help from everyone we were able to do it.  Call in the troops.  LindyI am so sorry you're been so badly affected... by Fay and by flare

I hope things get better very soon.
I'm sorry too. I have one sis in Gainesville and one sis in Lake Butler. Sister Lisa in Lake Butler said she was hit twice by it. She went to Orlando to Disney and was hit with it. Drive home through it and got home and got hit. Lots of tornadoes and she said her house isn't flooded but two rooms at the hospital she works as an rn was flooded and no electricity. Hospital has generator so she's pulling OT. Lots of minor injuries which are keeping her busy. I haven't hurt from sister Stella in Gainesville. Sent her an email. I couldn't reach her by phone. Then I also have a sister in LA/MS where Katrina hit a few years ago. I plan on staying up north where we do have an occassional ice storm or tornadoe but it's usually pretty calm. Plus I like the different seasons. When it's Christmas, I want snow and cold weather. I love cold weather cuz' I'm always hot.
Now I heard there's something going on in the Pacific. I swear I don't have any family there (at least that I know of LOL). Mother nature can be a b*tch!
