Pain & Sudafed | Arthritis Information

This sounds unusual, but I have observed that when I take 1 Sudafed for my allergy, my RA pain becomes less painful.  It also increases my energy level.  I only take one because I have high BP.   Anyone else have that happen?  I notice that after I take 1 for 3-4 days that the pill wears off, but if you do not have high BP you could take two as those are the usual directions.     Funny that you should mention that. I just got over a nasty cold/flu and took Sufafed Cold and Cough the whole time. I noticed that my joints and neverending tendonitis were much less painful during that time.  I thought it was because I wasn't very active while I was sick. I've since realized it had to be something in the Sudafed. I was thinking it was the acetaminophen but that's not in regular Sudafed. Could it be the pseudophedrine? That stuff will make you real hyper if you drink a cup of coffee with it. I had a sinus infection once (before HBP and RA) and take 2 and drank a few cups of coffee and I was flying. It's definitely not good to take if you have HBP. SO be careful. I take benedryl and in the daytime I'm sleepy, at night hyper. Makes no sense. Nothing about ra makes sense.Pseudoephedrine is the main ingredient in speed. I don't think it would be that unusual about it helping with your fatigue. Not sure about pain. I wish it helped my pain.  The only thing it does is mildly tame my allergic sinus headaches, which have been going on for a couple of weeks now.
