I took care of a patient yesterday who takes plaq for lupus. She takes name brand now due to the undesirable side effects of the generic variety. Does anyone take name brand? I have never been given that option. This patient says it made a world of difference in the way she feels also. I may have to switch over. What I never asked her was...what is the price difference? Anyone know? You can go to drugstore.com to get their retail prices of most prescription meds, both generic and brand-name. While it probably won't reflect the actual price at your local pharmacy, it's a good indication of the relative prices of the various meds.
Oh, and I personally get every time someone gets a prescription filled with the name brand instead of a generic therapeutic equivalent.
