Cold Induced Rash from Autoimmune Disease? | Arthritis Information

For the last month I've started getting an itchy, red rash on my fingers and large knuckles of my hands whenever they are exposed to the cold.  It usually happens when I put my hands in the freezer to grab something, or expose my hands to cold temperatures in any way.  It also happened on my foot once when the AC in my car was blowing on it.  The redness and itching stops about 15 minutes after the cold temperature is removed, but I'm really worried about how this is going to play out during the winter months.  I'm trying to figure out if this has anything to do with my autoimmune disease or the RA meds I take.  Has this happened to anyone else?

sounds like Raynauds

Yeah, there are some similarities there that are pretty scary, but I also Googled "cold induced rash" and came up with "cold induced urticaria."  At any rate, it doesn't seem to be the meds causing this, which is good.   I hate to admit, though, the Raynaud's seems to fit in more ways than one.  Great.
