Thank you, LynM.  I copied and pasted http://www.hss.edu/conditions_14370.asp into my browser's URL bar and got to the article just fine.

What a great article!
Excellant discription of how I have felt for the past 4 months.   Thanks.I read where PMR causes us to be at an increased risk of developing hypothyroidism. (article found in Journal of Family Practice, July 1998, "A 24-year-old man with symptoms and signs of polymyalgia rheumatica"). Hypothyroidism also causes extreme fatigue. Do any of you get your thyroid tested regularly with your sed and CRP rates? I sure don't. But I'm sooooooo fatigued lately I think I'll request it.

I have my blood tested frequently. Never had an issue with thyroid but last test showed sub clinical levels of hyprotyroidism. I googled about this and read that high levels of certain greens could cause a rise. I checked my supplements and was getting quite a high dose of these (Kale, broccoli, etc) so i stopped and felt better right away - not so bloated. I will be checking my blood levels again and hope that fixed it. Wow, greens?? Who knew. Good thing we have the internet. It also serves to royally tick off my Rheumy because it makes me a "know it all!!"

I'm glad you're feeling better!!
