Old Labs | Arthritis Information

I went to the base clinic today to pick up any bloodwork done in the last several months to have on hand when I go back to the RD in 2 weeks. Looking over them I see that a RF screening was run just this past January and I was at 8.4 IU/mL  judging by what I can make out on the lab report, they don't consider it abnormal until it is 14 or more. So chances are the RD isn't going to find any smoking gun in the labs he ran at his office either. I did notice on the paperwork he gave me to have my pcm add to my records that he stated he may need an MRI of the joints. So atleast it looks like he is willing to keep looking if nothing in the blood work stands out. My Rf was 11 and the lab said over 13 was abnormal. My SED and CRP were both elevated though. Not sure exactly what all that means, but prednisone helped me feel a lot better so there is definitely inflammation going on.

I hope you get a Dx soon. I am in the same boat as you and the hardest part is not knowing why you feel so badly. Jenn,

Looking at what you do every day (full time job, plus college classes) I just can't imagine how you do it! I truly admire your determination to keep going.  Looking through these labs a little more, I see that sed rate was ordered back in January as well, but is marked canceled with no explination..isn't that nice!
