hey, just wondering i fanone thinks it is worth me asking my doctor about this??

i have had psoriasis for sometime (since about age 10 (i am 20)), and have had problems with my right thumb (pain and lack of grip), and back pain and stiffness for about 2 and a half years!!

however i do not have the swelling, or the pitting in the nails

is it worth just chatting to my doctor about the possibility?? - they have no ideas curently about my thumb and back, and i was only told a few days ago i have psoriasis, as i has been misdiagnosed all those years ago!!

I have had PA since i was 14, you do get a lot of problems with your fingers, 30% of people with psoriasis end up getting the arthritis to go along with it.  It wouldn't hurt to check it out with your doctor, he/she may want to refer you to a rhumatologist.  I am new to these boards but would love to answer any questions you have since i have been dealing with this for 15 years.

what does the pitting in the nails actually look like??iv seen a pic, but it didnt really show nefin!!

also what can be done if i have got it??do i just have to live with the pain in my back and thumb 4ever now??
