Hello, i'm new here, i actually have psoriatic arthritis but it seems most people are talking here not in the PA board.  would love to chat with anyone.  I was diagnosed when i was 14 and am now 29, getting married in may and wanting to start a family shortly after that.  would love to hear from anyone who has recently gone through the same thing.  talk to you soon.

my pa has affected almost everywhere, hands, feet, ankles, wrists, hips, neck....the list goes on.  I'm happy though that i have finally found something that works.  thats why it scares me to go off of them.  but having a baby will be all worth it.  Have you had any kids?

i have 2 kids a boy 15 and a girl 16 i was only diagnosed 9 yrs. ago though. im glad the meds are working for you. i also have problems with my shoulder and knees i get cortosone shots every month and my feet and heels are very painful. im hoping to get relief from the mtx.

hello,I  am shirley.I want to what is difference between RA and PA.

My sister also diagnosed RA at 20 years old and now is 29.She has one son .5years old,who is very clever and healthy.

with PA you get psoriasis (skin lesions and irritation) which most of the time (but not all the time) starts first).  With PA too, you can get "sausage" like fingers and toes, and effects more localized areas that RA.  although, that is the definition if you look it up on the websites, I have PA and i feel like i have it everywhere. did your sister go off meds before she became pregnant?

Just sticken my nose in to say.  "WELCOME Michelle"  to AI.  I hope you enjoy your time here and hope to see you often.

thanx Waddles, and I love the quote at the bottom of our page....it's soooooooooo true.....i hope to talk to you soon.

so glad you found the site michelle, there are so many here who understand and can help you at least maybe feel better.  i'm not real active all the time, because my hands don't let me type very well, but i keep up with the reading all the time.

what you describe is like ra with a rash, is that too simple a way to put it?  it seems like your meds are the same. I had my kids before comming down with ra, but i've seen a lot of posts that say they were in remission when pregnant.   hope all goes well for you
