The abuse of power investigation against Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice presidential candidate, took a potentially ominous turn for her party today when state lawmakers voted to subpoena her husband.
Republican efforts to delay the probe until after the Nov. 4 election were thwarted when GOP state Sen. Charlie Huggins, who represents Palin's hometown of Wasilla, sided with Democrats. "Let's just get the facts on the table," said Huggins, who appeared in camouflage pants to vote during a break from moose hunting.

Moose hunting, seal clubbing, I guess it's all the same. So anything going on in your country of Canada besides 6 or 7 provinces trying to break away from Canada? Just for illegally killing the moose is enough for a officer of the law to be fired, it's that simple. If anyone knew better, he did. So, what kind of crazy canadien insinuation are you trying to make or were you just being so canadien friendly as to let us all know that todd was served? You are such a nice canadien to give us that information. I mean you weren't trying to insinuate something you can't prove or that may not be true, right? So maybe you do know more than us. I mean, you want parents to give marijauna to their children, seems like that suggestion comes from an expanded brain to me. Palin abused her power by firing Walt Monegan, the state's director of public safety. Critics charge she fired Monegan after he refused to dismiss Mike Wooten, a state trooper who had a messy divorce from the governor's[Palin's] sister. Palin says Monegan was let go because of a budget dispute.
Branchflower also said he wants to interview the governor but omitted her from the 13-person list of subpoena targets he presented to the lawmakers overseeing his investigation.
He said Todd Palin is "such a central figure ... I think one should be issued for him."

outofhaiti.ca/ Take a peak and google what Canada has been up to there.....Well, since I was born and lived in Alaska for 43 years, I understand alot. Todd and Sarah were right to try to get this Trooper to be disciplined long before she was Governor.
This ex-husband of her sister (they are still fighting in court over child custody, good grief I feel for their kids) was drunk on the job, waving a beer can out a official AK State Trooper car, tazered his 9 year old stepson because he wanted to know what it felt like, and threatened to put a "f***ing lead bullet" down Sarah's Father throat if they got legal/divorce representation for his then-wife, their sister and daughter.
He walked into a house, walked to the kitchen, got a beer, and left, and the people had no idea he was going to do this, I believe they didn't even know him, just as a local Trooper. He got 10 days finally, reduced to 5.
When her former Commissioner of Health and Public Safety started to coverup for this yahoo, she fired her at-will appointee. Alaska is worse than corrupt.
She and Todd were right to go after this Trooper. Senator Hollis "Hollowman" French is trying to make a name for himself with this investigation. He's a "law" man.
Did she break the law? I will be interested to see how this investigation plays out.

No wonder some people are so angry...they only get a small chunk of the truth. That's why it's important not to limit your knowledge to what the mainstream media reports. They only tell you enough to make you think what they want you tou to think.

Small word, even I, with my very limited knowledge of "big" intelectual words, know the meaning of critic. This critic of yours thinks that you are a lonely old dried up paranoid canadien hater of the United States and more than likely a hater of almost everything and anything and that you really have no use for honesty when it comes to trying to make your point or to prove your case. I believe you have no friends and that you sit in front of your computer with the shades always pulled down because "they" are always watching you. As far as that trooper, JSNM is right. That dude should not be a trooper and really should be in jail. I watched an interview by one of the liberal media with that trooper and he actually admitted to many of his charges and when asked about the first couple he always looked down when answering, never looking the interviewer straight. I will try to find the interview.
Sara last night denied trying to influence the future of the trooper but did say that she and her family had stated their concern with the troopers threats to her parents life. That trooper is a ticking time bomb and fortunately this media attention may have extinguished the fuse.

Let me assure you that I am in no way jealous of Gimpy. I do however understand why you truly believe that Gimpy is more knowledgable about my country than I am. Gimpy believes that my great country is evil and so do you, therefore you believe that Gimpy is more knowledgable about my country than I am. 13 people were subpoenaed yesterday, including the final hearing officer for the private contractor handling W/C cases for the State of Alaska. Somebody went and got the Trooper's workers compensation claim denied when they took pictures of him snowmaching while claiming he was injured. Todd took those to the now-fired Commissioner. The private contractor is hiding out and retained an attorney.
I need to add that The Anchorage Daily News purposely neglected to include what I have posted as the ADN is a liberal rag, so don't blame Gimpy. Go-Go - great thread, I love it :)
