Something is wrong with me? | Arthritis Information

That is I think pretty surely that i have Wegner's. I read that 60 percent of people with Wegnor's. Check spelling. Are dx with reumatiod arthritis before they figure it out. My gums are swollen and red white and blue. The sinus's just a nightmare. 20 days going on 30 days of cipro. Degongestents and Robitusin AC added to the generic Plaquinil and Vicoden and prednisone. I use Nasonex daily.

Worried about loved ones in Texas.

Spent the day with family. I just love the nephews and niece. Have a new niece on the way. They were moving and yes i am awfully sick. But I helped them move. My sister is high risk and should not be over doing it. My brother showed up as we came back for the second truck load.

We really had are fingers crossed that he would stop by on his way back to work. So we sort of planned it that way. As I was done for after the first load. My six year old nephew was a big help. He loved the moving van. It was a big new toy for him.

Well i got my hugs for the day that is for sure.

Just that i consider myself to an expert on allergies and sinus problems and sinus pain. Well it has all been so outratiously worse and different this past year. Like out of a scifi movie. The pain pounding and swelling of my sinuses just unreal. And no response or relief from anything. I mean every day. sory you are not feeling well Millie- but good to hear from you! We were just saying- where the heck is Millie!

I'm so sorry you are feeling bad.

I'm worried about your gums. Did you visit the dentist?

If you truly think you have that you need to get it checked out now. That is a very serious disease. My GI tested it when the did my EGD. They take a biopsy and have to send it off to a special lab to get tested. I came back negative. It is very rare. If you test positive, you start antibiotics. left untreated, it has very serious consequences. My dr. said he has only seen it once in his lifetime.

I know I told my doctors that it is the only thing that makes scence. It hurts so bad. I hope i am wrong. Well truely all agree that i am certainly unusual. I still fall in the catagory of strangly sick. Serious or not they won't bump up my appiontment.

The dentist certainly have nothing add. It seems unreal to them also. It has to be my sinuses. Well i really hope not. I just have too many strange things that fit. I try not to worry about it. My GP is keeping a close eye on me. They take me on a walk in basis at the moment.

The thing is i had never heard of this. I had been suffering so badly for a year now. They have not been able to get me off of the prednisone or the antibiotics for a year. But the main symtem is sinuses that do not respond to treatment. Well unfortunately I have some more serious symtems than that. One theory is an allergic reaction gone haywire or possibly a virus or infection. But no one knows for sure the cause it is thought to be auto immune.

Guess the main thing is I want others to know that a chronic sinus problem could be a very serious condition. Because i did not know. Until about two weeks ago. It's been driving me nuts for a year now.

Oh PIP! My phone will not stop ringing. Wish they would let me get some rest. LOL I try to tell them i am on the brink of death and yet they don't believe me. I have vowed to rest this week for fear it is in my lungs. No one cares. My phone rang at 6:54 a.m. a bit stalkerish i thought. Then sis and bro brought breakfast as a thank you for hard labor done yesterday. My son and I are like, leave us alone, oh are aching backs. The things we do for love. It was the stupidest thing I have ever done. I am just to sick.

Oh it was so worth it. The kids are 4,5, and 6 now. They say the most profound things. Such an amazing age. As we drove the children to there new home My niece said this is the best day i have ever had. Jesus take the Wheel was playing on the radio. My niece is 4. She said i really like the baby in the back seat song. And i looked at her mother and the song fit.

Milly - its good to see you again, and I hope you have figured out your health problem, as I know the doctors have been giving you the runaround for years and leaving you drift in the wind of pain and illness. It's pathetic, but I sure hope you are right, can test well enough for them to believe you, and finally get on the right medications and be treated with some respect. Yes I would say Red, White and Blue gums is over doing it. Oh so painful for sure. Not so atractive. Big blue spots on gums. Almost purple and very visable. So besides being painful it hurts my ego. When i mentioned it to the doc he said yes i noticed. Really has been that way for months now.

Well strawberry colored gingivitis would be another sign of Wegner's Granulomatosis.

Ear infections. Thats what i started this course of antibiotics for in the first place. The list goes on and on. I can not keep up with all the meds. I write down what time i take everything so i do not forget. Very little relief. Constant swelling and pounding of sinuses, ears teeth and gums. Migrain Headaches. But it is in my chest this week.

Inhalers, sprays, ear drops, eye drops, decongestants, Robatusin AC, Cipro, 10 mg prednisone, generic Plaqunil, Vicodine, Nystatine. Thats alot to keep up with when you feel like crap. And very scary when none of it works.

Doc says they will change my meds at next Reumy appiontment. I have seen numerous dentist and oral surgens. My teeth are fine. They hurt but i have to keep them. I have tryed to get the dentist to take them out thats how much it hurts. They thought i had RA in my jaw. And i have Sjorgrens really bad. So i thought this was explanation for awhile. But Wegner's Granulomatosis. Well it fits better as an explanation. It is a scarrier answer. But it makes more scense.

And I got worried about my little mouth infection!?! I hope you can get this taken care of ok.

Milly, I'm sorry you are going through all this. Is there a specific test for it? I can't believe how nonchalant the drs are being. It sounds as though you are suffering miserably. Does heat help, like a heating pad or steam for your sinuses? Your gums hurting like they are has got to be the worst. I can't believe they aren't doing more for you!! I will pray for you sweetie, and keep taking the vicodin.
