Remicade | Arthritis Information
I had my remicade infusion Thursday afternoon, on Friday I just barely made the day at work, I was so drained and tired. I don't recall feeling like that on my previous treatments. Has anyone else experienced this feeling after remicade?
I have not but it might be a good idea just to let your Dr know.I have only had one "bad" infusions since I started getting them this past February. Usually I get them very early in the morning and I am able to go to work afterwards. I do have some nausea and general icky feeling but am able to make it through the day. I typically do go to bed very early but am ok the next day and usually have more energy the next day or the following day.
One infusion, about 3 months ago, I got very sick. I vomited, had a horrible headache, temperature-the whole nine yards. I had to call hubby to come and get me because I couldn't even drive. I felt really crappy for about 3 days. I have no idea if it was a funny reaction to the infusion or if I happened to catch a bug at the same time, I just don't know. I did notice that at this particular infusion, my saline was barely gone by the end of my remicade and I had to sit there for a while to get the rest of the saline bag in. usually they run the saline concurrent with the remicade. I am thinking maybe they didn't run enough saline with the infusion and thats why I reacted funny. Its just a theory though.
I have had 3 infusions so far and had a bad time the last one. First I had a subsitute nurse and she let the infusion run so fast that I was done in a half hour. I knew that wasnt going to be good. Second, I came home and sat done for a minute and immediately fell asleep for an hour. I have had such a bad time since that infusion my ra has been at it's worst.
