OT: I am cold and it is summer! | Arthritis Information
I am about to freeze to death! OK... might be because I have the fan on in my room, but yesterday I was sweating like a dirty pig about this same time of day!
According to weather.com it is 74 degrees outside. And the thermometer in the house says it is 80 degrees in here. My skin is ice cold and I have been contemplating plugging up my electric mattress pad & putting it on high, and then plugging in the heating pad and cranking it up to high. But I guess I will just settle for a nice HOT shower. I usually start sweating even more after a shower, so I think I will at least be warmer after one
Watch now I will be freezing after I get out of the shower.
Looks like the summer is nearing it end out here. Too bad... I like winter, but... I do not like the pain and problems in causes me to have. Only like winter because I HATE to sweat. But I think I will take the sweating over pain and increased problems and symptoms any day.
Man ya'll are soo ADDICTING that I am sitting here reading the board and freezing! I am off to take my HOT shower.... to help warm me up, to help ease some aches & pains, and most of all to smell fresh & clean.... yeah... I make it sound like I have not showered in days or even weeks or even worse months LMAO!Our summer barely got started this year, autumn has arrived and we have some lovely weather but the evenings are turning chilly, Joonie- I feel like you do a lot of the time. My doctor's say- oh well some people are just sensitive to temperature. No it's not your thyroid, no it has nothing to do with RA. Here I am in the summer watching tv with a blanket on. My husband says I am nuts.I've been wrapped in sweaters and a blanket all day long. It's because I'm in a flare and the first thing that tell me that is I get a bone chilling cold all the way through my body no matter what the temperature is.
I hate winter too because I never seem to be able to be comfortable.

That's what I was going to suggest Ann, maybe Joonie is starting a flare. We had the 3rd coldest summer on record (since 1918) it has been miserable and now that it's moose season it is pouring down rain.
