Ok, this is non-combative (I'll leave that for the Chicken Lev thread) but I'm very, very, very concerned about something here.

On the Lev thread a PRA peep who has been nothing but kind to us and offered sympathy etc. to others was made to feel she should leave us. That person was Goldie. Why has nobody besides me noticed that? I PMed her and she has not picked up her mail - she is gone.

We can thank Lev for that as he didn't even have the decency to correct that.

Then he attacks MicheleB - who every last one of us who was here when she was abused at the hands of her doctor, begged her to stay. She has a sarc board but she is family.

Now, Jesse, who has been with us thru thick and thin may have Lupus and also felt like she should leave (thank God she's changed her mind).

OK - maybe all of the non-RA peeps should go to their own boards.

6t5 - you gonna only hang with the Lymies? Reegie - you're a Lymie too, right?

Anna/Birdgirrl/BeeBee/whatever - you only going to hang with the AS people. Which, by the way, if you say yes, we'll miss you on AI. (OK, maybe not).

How about the other PRA peeps? You going back to the IPRS. I'm not outing you as you don't deserve the wrath of Lev - but you get my point.

Who are we forgetting that shouldn't be here.

Looks like the board will be some of the cons (the good ones) and Nikkilynn.

It will be quieter - no arguing about politics. But it won't be AI.

its great to be all upset now but you started that thread and you should have known what would happen Every time Larry posts something you don't like you jump at it.

Each person has to take responsibilty for what they post and how they respond. You can't control any one else but you can control yourself. If someone is being a jerk..ignore them. If you don't like someone ignore them. Treat each person with the respect you expect yourself. (the use of you and your is not aimed specifically at you-Pip but the entire board)

And many of us stopped reading that thread as it went from ridiculous to simply sorry

Yes, I started the Chicken Lev post. Why don't you go back and see what 'started' it. I am sick of having him attack others because of 'whatever' got him moving. Maybe Stephens pictures. Audreys spam. Whatever and who ever gave him the right to attack and keep attacking over and over. That would be YOU people.

You might be unwilling to face him. I am not.

None of us can change what Lev posts. I'm sure he's sitting back laughing right now - he loves this crap. I don't defend people against trolls, because it only makes the situation worse. This is (for the most part) an unmoderated board. You gotta take the good with the bad. I stopped reading that thead so never saw any message from Jesse or Goldie saying they were leaving.

I say again...take responsibilty for your own words and own actions. You give Larry power by responding to him. Save your self rightousness for a time when your hands aren't dirty too

It doesnt matter if we ignore Lev or reply to his posts , he still will pick an argument with an empty board. He will pick up on things that someone finds important in their life and he will pull it to pieces and then criticise their parents. I normally dont respond to Lev threads but i did on Pips thread as he was putting doubt into some peoples minds about alternative therapies when he has no real reason to. I think this board should be for support to whoever needs it, whether they have RA, Lupus, Lymes, Sjogrens etc. We come from different backgrounds, countries , cultures and we might all be able to offer each other something.

People leave of their own free will. This board isn't for the thinned skin that's for sure. You really can't be offended by things said that aren't directed at you....and if you start dishing it out; you better be prepared to take it. That's just the way things work around here. Sometimes it's sugar and spice and everything nice.....and sometimes it's not. Hopefully they'll give it another chance and see it's a pretty cool place despite some snapping now and then.

And I don't really think Lev is a troll. Truth is; depsite the fact that many don't like what he has to say he's a member here and has been for quite sometime. He has RA and lives with the same disease many of us do. That's not really what an internet troll is; is it? Maybe I have the definition of internet troll wrong.

I just noticed on Facebook that Goldie hasn't been on or been active since the 15th. So maybe she's just not been online. I did send her a message though to see if she was there and maybe just not posting anything."You people " " Why don't you " Ya know PIP. I don't recall you being so angry. I think I just reached the end of my rope with this bully.

But mostly, I'm seriously disappointed in us. Not about the hujacking/not hijacking/AP/nonAP/troll/not troll aspect of this but about at least 2 people who were not immediately encouraged to stick around - thereby - by basic logic - validating Lev's contention.

I think Pip means where two people mentioned leaving, but they weren't big dramatic statements if you compare them to some of the farewells I recall.

I don't really 'know' Goldie, but hopefully she will check back in. Jesse looks like she got a lot of replies on her Sjorgen's thread, so I suspect she will be around.

Lev is easily ignored. I don't really pay attention to his threads that much. Occasionally when they seem helpful. It is obvious that he is trying to get a rise out of people, and I read anything he posts in that light. I think that is obvious to new people as well.

But you started that thread. And this one. If you keep doing this, I will start ignoring your posts, thinking you are just reacting with emotion and not information, which is not what you normally do.

I don't think Lev is a troll either. I obviously have not been here as long as the rest of you and maybe somewhere way back when- the things you say he said he did. I can't answer to that. I have to say that when I first came here I was shocked at how some people seemed so nasty towards him. I wondered why. Any post he made to me was friendly and helpful.

Since I've been here I have only noticed that Lev has some opinions which everyone has a right to. When they don't jive with what a big portion of people here believe in he is called all kinds of names and accused of attacking other people when in my opinion he is just defending himself.

For the record I have heard him say over and over he does believe AP is a viable treatment for mild cases of RA and other rhuematic illness just not moderate -severe RA. Some people feel everyone should try it regardless- he does not. So what? To tell the truth I agree with him. It's not my nature to open my mouth about it. I don't have any kind of passion about the subject to care who is using what here. That is totally their business. I'd rather just wish them well in pain relief. I'd rather just lend support whether it be moral support, advice I have some knowledge about or prayers when necessary. I certainly don't come here to get in pissing matches. I never notice him claiming to be a doctor counseling people as to what treatment they should use or not use. He is offering his opinion. He does go head to head with Pip who can dish just as heartily.

I don't think either person caused anyone to go away. I don't think anyone felt like they were being pushed into either option of therapy or felt unwanted on this forum because of the discussion. It was between Lev and Pip. Again- both entitled to go at it with each other if they so desire.

I agree with the others- if it's not your thing don't go on the threads. Some how I got hooked on it- I usually stay away from contraversy- but I never let it touch me personally.

I am not a lymie, I have since explained my story on here more than once. I am not keeping my mouth shut because I do not want to get in the middle of this and not defend you, I feel there is nothing but stupid childish behavior going on here. I have two small children at home, I use this as at outlet for friends, I am a referee for childish fights all day long I am not going to use my free time to ref anymore!Let's see here - Pip is asking another poster to tone down their rhetoric and other posters are saying that this post has never told anyone to leave, but I am now reading posts that Pip needs to leave because of her posts - isnt that hypocritical - its okay for one poster but not for another? And I could find several recent posts of the party in questions henchmen and women telling me to leave. I agree, what is going on here? Double standards? Good against evil? One read of the Chicken Lev thread pretty much shows that PIP has come unglued. I hope she calms down and really thinks about what she has threatened to do to Lev. People go to jail for this stuff. If she continues through Christmas as she has threatened ignore her. PIP I'm hoping you come around and stop this S^%$#JSNM-
