hi guys, i think i'm definately on a vicodin high!! lol

I posted on your duh moments and its led to this new post! lol
Just wondering how many others,, have found things by the side of the road or are avid garage sale people?
Living in an apt complex, I'm simply amazed at how many people just throw good things away!! Unbelievable!!
I wish they'd at least take them to Goodwill... well after I go thru them :P lol
anyway, anyone interested in being on my deal lists, when I find good deals at the stores, or free stuff at CVS?
or post it here? just wanting to know if any interest:)
blessings and joy~
Whispered~
time to go to coupon land, lol~ whooosh!
Oh yeah!  I am always looking for free things.  I check craigslist.com everyday, sometimes twice a day.  I have gotten free things and then sold them at yard sales.  One example is a small desk and chair that I found on craigslist - sold it for !

When "our" theatre underwent a major renovation, we went dumpster diving and got some of the old theatre seats, fixed them up and use them in my family room.  I always get lots of compliments on them.

I also get rid of things by just setting them on the curb in front of my house with a "free" sign.  Someone always comes along and takes them!  An old ugly blue heart shaped hot tub, old air conditioners, broken tv's, glassware, everything.
I know someone who is into a big time but I also know someone who grabbed a couch and ended up with bed bugsMy husband is always checking freecycle and cheapcycle.  He told me a guy was giving away a smooth top range  (not working) and was I interested in getting it. Steve can pretty much fix anything....but I just kinda thought this range would be nothing but a piece of crap if the guy was giving it away.   A couple days later Steve said he'd thought about it and was going to go pick it up.  He brought it home and fixed the problem (a 3 cent resistor was all that it needed) and cleaned it up.  It's only 3 years old..the bottom is a warming tray and the oven itself is also a convection oven.  He found one similar online with a price tag of 00.00
Here it is now in our kitchen working and looking brand new!

That's awesome! I wish my husband was handy. He tries to act like he is....but I'm afraid he's not that good at that sort of thing. I had him return a DVR to the cable company today and when he got home with the new one he realised the old one wasn't working because he didn't have it hooked up right! Yep - scary stuff indeed.  You gotta be careful... when I got the suit (actually, a career dumpster-diving friend of mine found it in a posh neighborhood with tags still attached) I took it right to the cleaners.
