Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone else has vision problems that come with bad pain in the neck and head.  I have had some issues with this starting in the last few months. Sometimes when i move my head/neck and it pops then i go to like read something my vision is blury.  For those of you who are my age or older, you remember those tv's that had a knob on it to make it clearer? it is kinda like that.  It really scares me.  I have never had vision problems until my injury a few months ago.  It started just a little bit after that.
anyone help?
thanks
kristina
Hi Kristina,

I have arthritis in my cervical spine
Just that there is quite a bit of it.  I need an mri.

I wish I knew what to tell you.  Have you had an mri?
Hi Kristina,

I too have Cervical spine OA and no, mine has not caused vision issues yet.  My primary symptom is short spurts of paralysis at a moments notice that only last a few minutes.

However I have to say just last week I did experience my first "crack" as Pam describes it.  I had felt pressure on the left side of my neck all day, then at one point when I turned my head to look the other way I felt a "crack" and voila!  the presure was gone.

As for your vision issues, you definitely need to mention this to the doc.  My guess is it is related.

By the way...have you been tested for RA?  I ask as you mentioned in your previous post about having stiffness in multiple joints on both sides of your body, which is a typical distinction between OA and RA.  OA is typically a joint or two that hurt more as the days progresses.  RA is an autoimmune disease that manifests itself through inflammation of joints, and is typically worse in the mornings.  Although a full flare of RA lasts all day.  The joint issues are typically symetrical (both hands, both feet) and involves several joints.  It can also mess with your eyes too.  Note.  I am not in the medical field, but I have both RA and Cervical OA.  I am just offering you a point of discussion to have with your doc since your entire body seems to be involved in your arthritic pain.  There are simple blood tests that can be done to test of possible RA, which would result in further tests if they present a suspicion.

Hope you find some relief.
