Going with dad to the neurologist tomorrow | Arthritis Information

Well I always fiqured for sure dad would get alshimers. Well hia mother had that and they share alot of mental disorders. Well he has Parkinson"s and pretty badly. Maybe he has both.

OMG I took dad to see a lawyer because he got hit by a car several months back. The lawyer said for him to be quiet or leave. And dad was on his best behavior. Just rambleing about non important issues. And being dramatic. So the Lawyer put me in charge of dads medical issues. Which i have been wanting for along time. Just because he clearly needs help. So he will listen to the lawyer. He is coherient enough to know he needs a lawyer. He says he does not remember what the doctors always tell him.
I had to point out to him that his CT scan said he had a chronic Sinusitis. Poor guy has a sinus infection and can't breath. Well his tongue hangs out from the Parkinson's so he needs to be able to breath threw his nose. He is clearly all stuffed up and does not know to get medicine to breath. Thats sad and scary.

Anyway it is my Neuorologist also. Well they deal with alot of AI diseases also. I reallly have not seen him scince my dx and I need to. So I will see if he wants to see me or if he thinks he can help. He did alot of testing on me years ago. Not bloodwork because i was having reumy's do my bloodwork at the time and did not see the need.

Scary also is my dads, dad was dx with Parkinson's shortly before he had a fatal stroke. His was not as bad. Except he had trouble getting out of a chair once he sat in it. He was 89 so one would expect that. But is this hereditary? Oh it's the awfullest thing. I just would truely never want it. Or to watch anymore loved ones suffer from this.
Anyway I am going to have them run more test on my dad. Well he gets dry eyes and we are seeing the Ortho in two weeks. He said when he got hit that the doctor said it agravated an exsisting arthritic condition. Plus my dad has hearing problems. Then i saw the sinus thing on his cat scan report.
Well i was reading about Parkinson's and it mentioned that it could be Wilsons. When i was reading about Wegener's it mentioned Wilson's. I remembered wondering if my family had wilsons years ago because well they are all nuts. It was a book about depression I was reading a long long time ago. Wishful thinking I guess. Well wishful because Wilsons is curable.

I'm so sorry!  I hope you can figure it all out.

The doc said not true Parkinson's. Side effect of the meds dads been on for years. His dementia is bad. So either Alzhiemers or he is not taking his meds? Anyway the point is he can not remember what the doctors tell him. So he was thrilled to find out today that it was not true Parkinson's. Well he got confused and had me worried sick. He told me yesterday that it was true Parkinson's. The brat! I am not saying Alzhiemers is good. It is just that we have always expected that.

He said I have an appiontment with a very good doctor. Of course that appiontment is November 18th. So I have to be patient. I guess the good doctors are busy. So I am going to try and get a bit of rest. I was up all night. Pain from flaring sinus dranage and worry. I tossed and turned till 7:30 this morning.

Milly, so sorry to hear about your dad. Try to relax until his dr visit. Maybe they will have some answers. Until then, take it easy on yourself, so you don't get more sick.
My prayers for your family.
take care
