super swollen :( | Arthritis Information

so my feet swell to the point that they bruise. :( my doctor doesn't want to give me any meds until i go for my chemo infusion... my lasix isn't working well, neither is icing/ heating. putting them up works a little bit but not a whole lot. are there any suggestions that could help? is there something i'm missing?Have you tried having someone rub your feet with essence oil?

I use lavender oil with a bit of olive oil. Have the person ( or yourself)

rub soft and get the stuff on the bottom of your feet , put socks

on after that.

I sure hope you start feeling better and that someone else might

have more ideas for you.

Well.....the first thing I'd say Jo00lia is Prednisone, Prednisone, Prednisone. As much as I hate the stuff, I do believe in using it when things get really out of hand, which where it sounds like you are.

But since you cannot use meds, I'd suggest a whirlpool, whether it's in a full tub or one of those foot massage things. (sorry....can't remember the name)

I am sorry to hear of your feet, Jo00olia. I hope they feel better soon. Maybe try hot epsome salt soak? NOt sure if that will work or not.

I wonder if an ortho could drain them for you? I really have know idea. Did your Rd take you off of the predizone? I thought that you were on

a high dose.
