OT- The never ending bad day. | Arthritis Information

My friend called me back everything was alright. While i was talking to him on the house phone my cell rang. It was the EROOM!!!

My son had been at a friends house two blocks away and was in the eroom. He was jumped by a mob of people on his way home. He did not know any of them. He was just walking home.

Then I get to the eroom. They said the exray showed a cracked skull. His eyes are so purple and swollen. The whites of his eyes are red. We thought maybe his neck was broken. I was holding his hand. He said it was cold and numb. It was warm to the touch I tryed to reasure him.

They did a catscan. Then they said he did not have a cracked skull. They gave him vicoden and sent him home. So i have to watch him but this is so scary.

Oh and they broke his laptop. They may have well as shot him. His laptop is his pride and joy. I told him the insurance should cover it.

All of this happened outside and i did not hear it. I did not hear the ambulance or the police or the beatting by a mob.

He said he was wandering up and down the street and could not find the house. After the beating of course. Actually it is an apartment building the only one on the street. So he went to a house and an older couple he said called an ambulance. Some how his lap top was on the front stoop as i was going out to go to the eroom I saw it there. So i do not know if he made it home and could not find the door bell or what. And then wandered off.

He is sober just has a very bad head concusion or contusion. I do not know? So prayers please.

We almost drove him to the city to see if another hospital would keep him for observasion. He said no he wanted me and sis to get some rest.

He is tuff he went to the police station after we left the hospital. He thought he was going to die and he wants these people caught.

It is 4:40 a.m. Adrenaline rush for Mom here. Some how i am not tired. I am going to go read his discharge papers. I am supposed to ice him down for swelling and make sure he wakes up, ect.

Bless his heart he never takes vicoden. He said sis is right these pills make me feel wierd.

Then he said you take these and you are still in pain? So i take it as they are helping ease his pain. He is sleeping.

DX said closed head injury multiple facial contusions. But pelimanary as after review they may call us and tell us they were wrong. Not very comforting after they told me his skull was cracked.Milly - what a horrible experience for your son (and you) I hope you hear good news from the hospital and all he'll need is just time to rest and heal. Make sure you take care of yourself as well.

He was making noises so I just checked on him. The pain pill wore off. So he wakes up. I needed to take my pred anyway. I have a bit of a rash. He was so upset because he said i am supposed to take care of you.

I mean it is a delema. He def needs someone to take care of him right now. Well so do I.

Can you blame us for wondering how i am to check on him every three hours after the day i have had. He was worried about that. He said I wake you up hows that going to work.

I am going to lay back down. So far he is doing better than I expected.

I am so sorry for you and your son. That is an awful thing to have to go through. My husband was jumped years ago in college when we lived in a bigger city. He got hit in the back of the head with a pistol grip and fell onto a bike rack. He was very bruised and shattered several teeth which had to later be extracted from various spots in his mouth. It was awful. I hope they catch the people that did it, the group that attacked my husband was never caught.

I can not even imagine. I am so sorry. I wish he could have stayed at least over night to make sure everything should be okay. I'm sorry he is in so much pain and hope he heals quickly. It sickens me that those guys are somewhere out there. I sure hope they get whats coming to them!

I'm so sorry to hear your son was the victim of such violence. I hope he is doing better, even if he doesn't want to take pain meds, sometimes its a good idea in the beginning so he can get some good rest. I hope you are holding up okay. Milly, that's terrible - how old is he? You, and your son, and your family is in my thoughts and prayers. We are all pulling for both of you here. So sorry to hear about your son. So much violence now a days and it doesn't much matter where you live I think. I hope he is regaining his strength with each day that passes. He is in my prayers.

Wow, Milly. I'm so sorry this happened. Your son must be quite a young man, going through all of that and still worrying about taking care of mom. What a sweetie. I hope he heals quickly and that whoever did this is caught and brought to justice. Hope you can get some rest. I'll be praying for you both.Wow. That really sucks. I hope he heals quickly and the police catch the bastards. Chances are that they've done this crap before and the police probably already have an idea who did this (even if they don't say so right now!). These animals need to be locked up. Milly, that is just awful. I am surprised the hospital couldn't keep him overnight for observation. Don't hesitate to take him back if his pain is more than you can handle. tomorrow he may be very sore. I will be praying for your family. Please try to get some rest, even if you have to sleep with your son or you and daughter take turns...

Well these people are not very bright. One of the men told him his name. Oddly the mans wife said she had done it.

He ran into an old girl friend that he had not seen scince he was a kid. She said she was having boyfriend trouble. Two days later these guys come from out of her yard and across the street and attack him. Four men. So i am guessing jealous boyfriend. He is not mad at the girl for lying to the police. She is probably frightened. We may be able to get these guys punished. If the women wants to take the blame i guess let her. But we will get a restraining order against her husband. We do not know the names of the other three men. We are guessing one is his old friends boyfirend scince they came from her yard.
