APCCA PASSES U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES!!!

More Info

Congratulations to all AF Advocates and Ambassadors

After working so hard these past 5 years at letting Congress know more needs to be done for people with arthritis, Congress has heard you!  The U.S. House just passed an amended and revised Arthritis Prevention Control and Cure Act.

Onto the Senate....we have just a day or two left to get the Senate to do the same in order for the bill to be sent to the President to be signed into law.  Many bills are successfully passed in the House or the Senate but if not passed in both Chambers the process begins again next year.

This is truly an historic day for people with arthritis and for the Arthritis Foundation!

Next week, start calling your Senators, unless they adjourn.  I am starting to doubt this Congress will pass this legislation or any other, except for Welfare Banks.  They have overstayed their welcome in DC and have to get back home to campaign for re-election.  It was really too bad that this was delayed in the House this week over Welfare Banks.
