Bruising and fish oil | Arthritis Information

I posted recently about bruising easily and you guys were quite helpful in pointing out that it could be either the sulfasalazine or fish oil.  I cut out the fish oil and it seemed to get better but my RA also seemed to get worse.  I started it back up again and within a couple of days, the bruising was back (benefits not yet to return)

Is this something worth stopping or lowering dose on fish oil?  I'll mention it to my RA in 2 weeks but given his response when I asked about fish "Oh, I guess you could eat more fish if you want to..." I'm assuming he's going to poo-poo the fish oil regardless.

My question is if the bruising is a symptom of a more serious issue or just looks bad (heck, its winter, who will know?)

Fish Oil Side Effects.

Omega 3 high doses used in some disorders may have side effects. These fish oil side effects may disappear after a few days, when your body gets used to it. If after a couple of weeks you don’t see an improvement, try a different brand of fish oil, it may help. Possible fish oil side effects:

I took this off the omega fish oil supplement site.  Last month I had an eye bleed and it was caused by an increase in my fish oil supplements.  Once I discontinued the supplement the bleed cleared.  Talked to my RD and he said that he's run into some bruising and eye bleeds in other patients.  I have just restarted my usual dose of 3,000 mg.  Lindy
